Tainan Park has convenient transportation and a beautiful and comfortable environment. The soft lawn is good for meditation and exercise.

Every day at 4:50 a.m., before the sky turns bright, you can see a banner hanging up between two big trees near the north gate of Tainan Park. The banner reads, "Falun Dafa, Truth Compassion Tolerance." The yellow banner is very eye-catching under the street light. With peaceful music floating in the quiet dawn air, a group of Falun Gong practitioners sit in a circle doing the meditation exercise -- Falun Gong Exercise 5.

This group practice site was established in July 1999. In the years when Chinese Communist Party has been rampantly persecuting Falun Gong in China, Falun Gong has flourished in Taiwan. After seven years, it has spread to every corner of Taiwan.

There is convenient transportation to Tainan Park, and the park has a beautiful and comfortable environment. The green and soft lawn is good for meditation and exercise. But on rainy days, because the park doesn't have a pavilion, the practitioners do the exercises under the eaves of the Public Library nearby. Doing the exercises in the wind and rain is a challenging experience, but the daily exercise practice is never canceled.

Each day, from Monday to Saturday, practitioners will do the sitting meditation first. After sending forth righteous thoughts, they continue with the standing exercises. At this time, the practitioner in charge of delivering the newspaper will bring the paper to the park. After the standing exercises, some practitioners will leave with their portion of newspapers to deliver, or bring them to their workplace. After some practitioners leave for work or study, others stay and continue to read new Fa-teaching materials until 8:00 a.m. Afterwards, some more practitioners leave and a few will stay until they finish reading one lecture of Zhuan Falun.

For seven years, a lot of people have come to the Tainan Park practice site.

The practitioners' ages range from the 20's up to the 70's. They including teachers, workers, businessmen, managers, store attendants, chefs, housewives and retirees. There are six couples and a mother and daughter pair. Each practitioner has a unique story about his or her cultivation practice.

The practitioners at this site look after each other. For example, if one practitioner often oversleeps, the assistant will phone him/her to check with him/her. If a practitioner's exercise movements are not accurate, others will kindly correct it. If someone has a printer at home, he or she will make copies of materials for others, free of charge. If someone has Internet and email, they will notify fellow practitioners about the latest news and messages. The practitioners welcome every newcomer with a warm heart. Just like Teacher Li Hongzhi said, the Tainan Park exercise site is a piece of "pure land."
