Jakarta: Human Rights Monitor Writes to President of Indonesia to Condemn the CCP's Brutal Persecution of Falun Gong
To: Dear Sir, Imparsial, the Indonesian Human Rights Monitor, has received
information from the Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong that
the Chinese Government has arrested, detained, tortured and murdered Falun Gong
practitioners in China in a brutal and widespread, systematic manner. By reference to the report, the Chinese Government
specifically has practiced the following: Those criminal acts are clearly a cruel violation of human
rights, which oppose the Universal Declaration of Human Right, the International
Covenant of Civil and Political Rights, and the Anti-Torture Convention To carry out Indonesia's duty as a member of the United
Nations to respect human rights as declared in the Universal Declaration of
Human Rights, and also as a country that has ratified the International Covenant
of Civil and Political Rights and the Anti Torture Convention, Imparsial urges
the President of the Republic of Indonesia to convey strong objections to the
Chinese government with regards to the violent suppression of Chinese Falun Gong
practitioners' human rights in China. We urge the president to call upon the
Chinese government to stop their violent persecution of Falun Gong practitioners
and demand to bring to justice the people who are responsible for the cruel
violence against human rights. Thus this is our appeal. We appreciate your attention and cooperation. Our regards, Poengky Indarti, S.H., LL.M (Director of External Relations) Poengky Indarti (Indonesia) is a founder and the Executive Secretary
