Three Falun Gong Practitioners in Beijing Died from Persecution

(Clearwisdom.net) Three Falun Gong practitioners in West Village, Jinzhan Town, Chaoyang District, Beijing have died from persecution. Ms. Zhou Xiuzhen started to practice Falun Gong in 1997. Her high blood pressure and heart disease were cured but she was continuously harassed by the CCP regime. She was sentenced to one year of forced labor and was tortured in the detention center and forced labor camp.

During the "Two Conferences" in 2006, the Beijing 610 Office issued an order that every district, town and street neighborhood committee try all means to abduct, monitor and harass Falun Gong practitioners. Accordingly, Jin Liandong in the Jinzhan Town 610 Office and Tao Yongqiang, a police official of the West Village security office were designated to persecute local Falun Gong practitioners. They promised that any informant who reports on Falun Gong activities would be rewarded.

Owing to the long-term persecution and being under such great pressure, Ms Zhou suffered an acute brain hemorrhage on May 25 and passed away three days later.

Wang Huilan, in her sixties, who had suffered high blood pressure and heart disease and could not take care of herself, had her health restored after practicing Falun Gong. However, since April 25, 1999, Li Chunyan, the deputy director of the Jinzhan Town 610 Office and Wang Shijiang, the head of the security office of West Village, frequently harassed her, threatened to cut off her financial resources, and confiscated her pension. As a consequence, the elderly lady was greatly hurt psychologically and physically which resulted in a relapse of her health problems. She died on the eve of the 2001 Chinese new year.

Mr. Zhang Guicheng, 49, improved his mind and body by practicing Falun Gong. After April 25, 1999, he and his family suffered frequent harassment by the police. His wife was forced from her home and finally sentenced to three years of forced labor. Under great pressure, Mr. Zhang died on November 27, 2004.
