By a Falun Gong practitioner in Sunshine Coast in Australia

(Clearwisdom.net) On August 6, 2006, Falun Dafa practitioners participated in the Nambour Festival (formerly known as the Sugar Festival), an annual event held on the Sunshine Coast in southeast Queensland, Australia. An information stall was set up to offer our flyers and materials to clarify the truth about the persecution in China.

Petitions were made available for the public to sign requesting our Australian government's support of an international coalition to investigate the recent revelations of illegal organ harvesting from Falun Dafa practitioners without consent and whilst still alive. People were shocked when informed of this human tragedy and were eager to sign our petition to offer their heartfelt support.

Demonstrations of our peaceful exercises and meditation were presented throughout the day and many enquired about learning the exercises held in the mornings at a local park in Nambour. Beautiful origami lotus flowers made by local practitioners were also handed out to the surprise of passers-by highlighting the plight of the innocent children suffering under the inhumanity of the Chinese Communist Party.

Many hearts were touched by Falun Dafa's presence at the festival through receiving our information and signing our petitions supporting the worldwide efforts to bring and end to the brutal persecution of millions of innocent citizens in China today.
