Spain: Practitioners Expose the Truth about Falun Gong to the Chinese Community

On July 30th, 2006, Falun Gong practitioners in Barcelona, Spain, went to the Fondo area, a Chinese community, to demonstrate the goodness of Falun Dafa, expose the crime of genocide that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has committed against Falun Gong and to appeal to people for their help to end the persecution.

As practitioners set up their display boards, some Chinese people went up to ask for the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party (an editorial published by The Epoch Times newspaper) and other information. They greeted Falun Gong practitioners warmly. The atmosphere was peaceful. With more and more people gathered there, an elderly Chinese man suddenly accused practitioners of making China look bad to westerners by displaying the pictures of the innocent practitioners being persecuted in China. Practitioners kindly explained to him, "The CCP and China are not the same. We all hope that China will improve; however, the CCP keeps persecuting the Chinese people. We are here to expose the crime of genocide committed by the CCP and hope that the persecution can be ended as soon as possible."

Nevertheless, the elderly man did not stop his accusation but argued for the CCP's narrow theory of nationalism. Two people in the crowd stood by his side and also said some bad words. They even went up to snatch practitioners' leaflets, tore them up and threw them on the ground. The police on duty took the two Chinese people aside, asked them questions, and recorded their names. The Falun Gong practitioners said after the event that these people had been poisoned too deeply by the CCP's evil and extreme theory of so-called nationalism.

The Falun Gong practitioners were not influenced by those people's irrational acts. They continued talking to others. They patiently answered questions asked by the Chinese people, such as "What is Falun Gong?" "What is the real story behind the "April 25" event?" "Why does the CCP persecute Falun Gong?" "Is the number of withdrawals from the CCP on the Epoch Times true?" and so on. People there understood the facts and witnessed the practitioners' great compassion and forbearance.

Many western people signed their names to a petition after they learned about the CCP's inhuman crimes against Falun Gong practitioners in China. Some asked about what else they could do besides signing their names, to stop the persecution.

When leaving in the evening, the practitioners wished the best for all the people and hoped they would have a good future. A Chinese person said he admired the practitioners' peace and patience. A practitioner replied, "It's because we are Dafa practitioners who cultivate 'Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance.' We are simply here to tell you the facts."
