By a Falun Dafa Practitioner in Jing Xin, China

(Clearwisdom.net) I've recently purchased a new computer and have encountered a lot of interference. A lot of time has been wasted. We are now at the final stage of Fa-rectification cultivation, and I believe that the time remaining is very precious.

The reason I replaced my old computer was because my husband, (who is a cultivator, but isn't so diligent) wanted to surf the internet on my computer. I told him that the computer isn't secure but he did not listen and maintained a very stubborn attitude. He thought that since we have firewalls, it would be ok for him to go to ordinary websites and read his stuff. We argued and in the end, I let him use the computer reluctantly. I said to myself, "Let's see what he can do if something happens." In fact, my human heart was moved. I was not thinking from the Fa and carried a very strong competitive mentality rather than using a compassionate heart and righteous thoughts to resolve the conflict.

Later on, I decided to get a new computer. My husband suggested asking practitioners and friends who had a lot of knowledge in this area for their advice. I did not listen as I thought I'd heard enough advice and that I knew enough about computers, so I didn't need to hear any more. (This was due to my attachment to self-approval and stubbornness. This is the manifestation of my attachment to self. The attachments were so strong and yet I did not notice.) In the end, I chose a Chinese brand. It's an expensive brand and the specifications are low, and they come with a lot of problems.

At the same time, the air-conditioner at my home started leaking water. On the second day of it leaking, I felt drops of water continuously dropping onto my face while I was half asleep. I found many human attachments: the competitive mentality, anger and hatred, the attachment to blaming others, attachment to self, attachment to fear and greed (there are complimentary gifts if you purchase the computer). How big these loopholes are! I started to send forth righteous thoughts, thinking; no matter how big my gap is, the evil does not deserve to interfere with me. I will rectify these bad thoughts with the Fa. Suddenly the air-conditioner became normal without any repair.

Nothing is accidental. But the key is how practitioners look at it. Master said,

"In any case, a cultivator must look at things as a cultivator should and with the mind of a cultivator, and absolutely cannot look at things with the mind of an ordinary person. Nothing you encounter is simple, accidental, or an ordinary thing. It must have to do with your cultivation and your improvement." ("Teaching the Fa in the City of Los Angeles")

This incident exposed many of my human attachments and gave me the opportunity to discard them.

The practitioner who helped me re-install the computer system encountered a lot of interference, such as the machine not detecting the CD drive and the operating system not being able to be installed. I started sending forth righteous thoughts to the computer, "You have come to my house and that is your blessing. You are a being meant to have a good future. I hope you can break through the control of the evil." I also sent forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil elements behind the computer. Immediately, I felt that my throat was blocked and very itchy. I wanted to cough and my ears felt itchy and like they were about to explode. I remembered the dissolving power Master talks about in Zhuan Falun, so I asked Master to strengthen my power. I soon felt that my hands became hot with strong energy. My body felt light. I knew Master was strengthening me to eliminate the evil. In the end, the practitioner successfully installed the computer system. The practitioner spent more than half a day installing it. I realized this and blamed myself for having so many attachments that caused so much trouble for the fellow practitioner. I am sincerely grateful to the practitioner's effort and I felt the power of the one body of practitioners.

The above experience is how the evil took advantage of my human attachments and interfered with my doing the three things. I hope fellow practitioners can learn from my lesson.

Actually, simply finding the human attachments is not enough. We need to firmly get rid of them. Master said in Zhuan Falun,

"To tell you the truth, the entire cultivation process for a practitioner is one of constantly giving up human attachments."

At this last precious moment of Fa-rectification cultivation, we should be watchful of each thought and always be on the Fa, and use a gods' mind and righteous thoughts to do well in the three things that Master asked us to do.
