(Clearwisdom.net) From August 6-13, 2006, the European Athletics Championship took place in Gothenburg, Sweden. A cultural and entertainment event took place at the same time and 200,000 people were expected to visit the city. These events gave Swedish Falun Gong practitioners an opportunity to reach many people and inform them about the persecution against Falun Gong, as well as the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) heinous practice of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners to sell for profit.

Practitioners re-enact the torture and organ harvesting to expose the CCP persecution

Every day since August 4, practitioners have been going to "Drottningtorget" (Queens Square) close to the Central Station in Gothenburg, regardless of the baking sun or heavy rain. They told people about the cruelties committed by the CCP against Falun Gong practitioners in China.

Practitioners performed a re-enactment of the live organ harvesting and used loudspeakers to tell passersby that this is really happening in China. Other practitioners handed out fliers and talked with passersby. Many people signed a petition calling for an end to the persecution.

A senior citizen, who found out about the persecution and was concerned for practitioners, personally contacted one of the city's main newspapers to let local reporters know that there was an important event that they should report on.
