Germany: Letting People Know about Falun Gong and Exposing the Persecution During the Dresden Town Festival (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) 2006 is the year of Dresden's 800th anniversary celebration. A culture festival was held between July 21st and 23rd, 2006 and was an important part of the 800th anniversary.

There were many booths with different displays close to the culture palace. They all were meant to not only display the traditional culture of the free state of Sachsen, but also other countries were invited to share their cultural heritage.

Dresden Falun Gong practitioners' booth was one among many. The European Falun Dafa Choir, the waist-drum troupe and the heavenly dancers performed in turn on the large stage. They received generous applause from the audience.

The Falun Gong practitioners also performed the Falun Gong exercises in front of the booth. They showed the spectators the peaceful nature of Falun Dafa and the spirit of ancient traditional Chinese culture. Also, practitioners distributed leaflets to festival visitors about the persecution of Falun Gong.

Some of the visitors held deep discussions with the practitioners. Many signed the practitioners' petition for the rescue of Falun Gong practitioner Wang Xiaoyan in China. Many of the visitors watched the waist-drum performers and the dance demonstrations excitedly. To remember the event, they took many pictures.
