Pension of Cheng Hua from Anshun City, Guizhou Province is Suspended, Causing Her Elderly Mother to Have No Money for Food

(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Cheng Hua, a former veterinarian in her sixties, is a retired employee of the Dongguann Office, Xixiu District, An¡¦shui City, Gaizhou Province. She has been in good health since practicing Falun Gong. After the persecution of Falun Gong was initiated by Jiang¡¦s regime in 1999, Ms. Cheng remained steadfast in Falun Gong and was active in informing people about the facts of the persecution. In 2001, she was reported to the police while distributing truth-clarification materials. At about 6:00 p.m. on July 22, 2001, a group of police officials broke into her home and confiscated her Falun Gong books and other related materials and then took her away. She was not released until she paid a fine of 2,000 yuan.

At that time, the deputy head of the No. 1 Section of the Xixiu District Police Department, Li Lin, intimidated Ms. Cheng¡¦s son with lies about Falun Gong.

In January 2002, several police officers went to her home again and forced her to go to a brainwashing center for forty days. On April 29 of the same year, three policemen took Ms. Cheng away and asked her if she would still practice Falun Gong. When she replied with a firm position on Falun Gong, she was sent to the Heshitou No. 2 Detention Center where she was detained for twenty months and was later illegally sentenced to a three-year forced labor term by the authorities. Ms. Cheng¡¦s younger brother gave 1,000 yuan to the policeman in charge, and another 1,000 yuan to Yu Baoxian, the then-head of the No. 1 Section of the police department. After these efforts did not work in securing her release, Ms. Cheng was sent to Yang¡¦ai Jail. Four prisoners were assigned to monitor her every day. Under this high pressure, Ms. Cheng went astray for some time, but she has since returned to the practice.

During the term of forced labor, burglars ransacked Cheng Hua's unattended house. What¡¦s worse, Gao Zhengyou and Li Bing, the persons in charge of the Dongguan Office, confiscated Ms. Cheng's retirement pension five years ago, with the excuse of following orders from their supervisors. Cheng Hua has an elderly mother in her eighties who now has to survive on wild edible plants . At present, they are in a very difficult financial situation.
