(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Liang Shufan was from Jilin
City, Jilin Province. She was frequently mistreated by policemen from the Erdao
Town Station in Fengman District, Jilin City, and died in May 2005.
Ms. Liang Shufan, 59 years old, lived in Erdao Town in Fengman District,
Jilin City, Jilin Province. She started cultivating Falun Dafa in 1998. Prior to
practicing Falun Dafa, Ms. Liang many diseases, but those illnesses disappeared
after she began practicing.
In July 1999, the persecution of Falun Gong began. Ms. Liang went to Beijing
to appeal for justice for Falun Gong, and was illegally arrested at
the Appeals Office. She was first taken to the Jilin Liaison Office in Beijing,
and then taken back to be detained for fifteen days in Jilin City. She was
tortured twice in a brainwashing center and had one thousand yuan
extorted from her.
In November 2000, Ms. Liang Shufan went to Beijing to validate Falun Dafa
again. Policemen beat her in Beijing, broke her nose, knocked out two of her
front teeth, and took her back to be detained for more than a month in the Jilin
City Detention Center. She was then sentenced to three years of forced labor,
but she was released because of her high blood pressure (230 mm).
In 2001, police officers arrested Ms. Liang when she was passing out
truth clarifying materials. She escaped, but had to leave home for
six months to avoid being arrested.
In 2002, policemen from Erdao Town Station ransacked Ms. Liang's home and
found truth-clarifying fliers. They sentenced her to three years of forced
labor, but she was released because of her high blood pressure (230 mm).
Because of her long-term mistreatment under the persecution, Ms. Liang was
under huge mental pressure. She was often harassed by police. In May 2005 she
had a stroke. Ms. Liang Shufan died in November 2005, after police had harassed
her twice during that time period.
