Poland: Parade and Peaceful Protest before the 2006 Experience Sharing Conference (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) From August the 11th to the 13th 2006, in Poland's capital city of Warsaw, Falun Dafa practitioners from Poland and other countries held an experience sharing conference and a series of events to promote Falun Dafa and expose the persecution in China to the people of Poland. This was the first time European practitioners gathered together for such a large-scale activity in Warsaw. Practitioners from 18 countries attended the conference and related events. Everyone played their part in making the events a success, bringing the beauty of Falun Dafa to the people of Warsaw and letting them know about the Chinese Communist Party's brutal persecution.

Exposing the persecution in downtown Warsaw

On Friday the 11th, an anti-torture exhibition and Falun Gong exercise demonstration were held in the Warsaw city center and the old section of town. The night before this event, practitioners from several European countries worked through the night preparing and framing the informational posters.

The anti-torture exhibition, with large posters in heavy, solid frames attracted thousands of people. We ended up staying an extra hour and a half, despite the fact that many practitioners had traveled to Poland overnight and were soaked with rain, as there was always a crowd of people reading the posters and watching the anti-torture exhibition. Another group of practitioners from European countries talked to tourists in their native tongues in the old town of Warsaw - a popular tourist area. In the evening, everyone gathered together to study the teachings of Falun Gong.

On Saturday morning, practitioners gathered in front of the Polish Parliament building to practice the five sets of Falun Gong exercises together in a group. A parade followed, and later there was a peaceful protest at the Chinese Embassy. Over the weekend, many people had the opportunity to find out about Falun Gong and they denounced the vicious persecution of this peaceful practice.
