By a Dafa practitioners from Hebei Province

(Clearwisdom.net) From spring of 2005 to that of 2006, there were five incidents of Falun Gong practitioners being reported and arrested during activities of clarifying the facts. After the incidents, under joint efforts of other practitioners, all of them were unconditionally released in as short as four days to two weeks. I would like to share our experiences here.

Among the arrested practitioners, on the first two incidents, some bad people reported them when they went to our surrounding counties to distribute truth-clarification materials. In the third incident, two practitioners went to our county police department asking for the return of their money (not fines) that was confiscated by the police during their illegal search in the past. Both were arrested by the supervisory division of the police department. The fourth incident was also because of bad people’s reporting when practitioners were distributing truth-clarification materials, including the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, in a nearby county. They were arrested by officers from the local police station. The fifth incident was when practitioners from our county and a neighboring county tried to coordinate a joint rescue. Practitioners from the neighboring county were followed and arrested from their homes by the police (At that time, practitioners from the fourth arrest had been released three days before).

The following were the actions we took for the five rescues of fellow practitioners:

1. After learning about the arrests of practitioners, the first thing in our minds was to inform coordinators in our town or area, asking all practitioners in our county to send forth righteous thoughts frequently so as to eliminate and dissolve the dark minions, rotten demons, communist evil spirits and all communist evil factors in other dimensions that persecute Dafa and Dafa disciples. Whether or not the practitioners had any loopholes, the arrests were all done by people who were deceived and controlled by evil in other dimensions. Thus the first thing we sought was cooperation among practitioners by asking them to send forth righteous thoughts to eliminate interference and persecution from other dimensions. Some practitioners took buses or rode bicycles to far away detention centers (in our neighboring county) to send forth righteous thoughts in close proximity, so that it could have a more powerful effect.

2. Coordinators and practitioners of the same township held meetings to exchange ideas and look for areas for improvement. Although only one or two practitioners were arrested, it required all of us to look inward.

3. Practitioners made banners to expose the evil. To save sentient beings, practitioners also wrote letters focusing on exposing the evil and rescuing fellow practitioners. Practitioners coordinated with each other and massively posted banners and distributed letters county wide, from a few thousand to over ten thousand copies. In general, more banners and letters would be posted or distributed in the practitioners’ townships, surrounding townships, residential compounds of police departments, as well as persecutors’ residential areas. In this way, the evil would be exposed and shocked, and local residents would learn of the incidents. The letters gave more details about the persecutors' conduct. At the end of the letters we stated, "We shall continue to raise the issue to the entire society until these Dafa practitioners are unconditionally released. We ask for justice to protect innocent people." We not only showed our determination, but also raised awareness in society and brought out positive thoughts from everyday people.

4. We helped family members of persecuted practitioners to have righteous thoughts to demand their release from local police stations and police departments. At the same time, those practitioners who were familiar with family members of the evil police visited police officers who were involved in practitioners’ arrests to clarify the facts face to face. Some practitioners wrote letters to the police persuading them to do good things and letting them know the truth, since saving sentient beings is our goal.

During the rescue process, some of the practitioners who were being illegally detained, did very well. They looked inward and quickly found their shortcomings. They clarified the facts to the police, sent forth righteous thoughts, went on hunger strikes and demanded their unconditional release. They were quickly released. Some practitioners, however, did not do that well. For example, a practitioner started a hunger strike for one day, felt dizzy, and quit the strike. However, they still were able to clarify the facts to the police. After another practitioner was arrested, the police found a copy of the Nine Commentaries in her pocket. One day while sending forth righteous thoughts, a practitioner saw (at his level) in other dimensions detained practitioners, and black mountains and valleys were everywhere. There were also many evil spirits and demons in police form. However, through the efforts of continued sending forth righteous thoughts from the entire county’s practitioners, they eliminated the evils and factors that were persecuting fellow practitioners. While that practitioner was detained for two weeks, the police did not bother her and did not mention the Nine Commentaries either.

We all understood that even if the practitioners under persecution did not do anything, as outside practitioners, we should take these incidents as opportunities to expose the evil, save sentient beings and rescue fellow practitioners. For everyday people, if a person loses consciousness, his family members would take him to a hospital. Thus we thought that we, as practitioners, should "carry" our fellow practitioners out of the detention centers with our righteous thoughts. When outside practitioners discussed how to rescue the persecuted practitioners, they all added at least one thought to let the police who find copies of the Nine Commentaries read the book. The power of sending forth righteous thoughts was definitely effective.

There were also some shortcomings shown during the rescue of practitioners. Some practitioners believed their county had a good environment, so they did not take seriously their safety. They openly distributed fliers in markets without caution, just like ordinary people distributing advertising materials, which was not very wise. This also gave the evil an excuse for persecution. Before trouble came to those practitioners mentioned above, many were not diligent in Fa study, their hands dropped during the time of sending forth righteous thoughts, and some even fell asleep. Some practitioners often had family issues, which had continued for over 6 months, and still could not get resolved.

We should not form any notions during the process of rescuing fellow practitioners. For example, during the fourth rescue, a local coordinator felt they had done everything, including exposing the evils, distributing materials and clarifying the facts, and they just waited for the release of the practitioner. However, ten days had passed and there was no sign of a release. Then everyone realized something was wrong and immediately organized a discussion between practitioners and the coordinator to find out where it went wrong. They found that because of their previous three successful rescue attempts, this time they had merely followed the previous paths, used them as a resource for the current rescue, and did not put saving sentient beings and rescuing practitioners as the first priority. Thus everyone restarted everything by making new posters and writing new letters. We did a massive distribution at night. Once our mind was right, the evil dissolved. The practitioner was unconditionally released the next day.

Some practitioners became afraid of going to the exercise sites or even hid after learning of the arrests of other practitioners. Such incidents also exposed their shortcomings. From these incidents we realized that troubles came to practitioners because of our undetected loopholes, giving the evil chances. For the practitioners outside the detention centers, we should make efforts to fully cooperate and should not blame practitioners who have troubles. During the rescues, every practitioner should look within themselves and make adjustments quickly. At the same time, each successful rescue fortifies our belief in Master and the Fa, which also reflects the power of our group efforts. The attachment of "fear" was eliminated and our group became more harmonized, which became a positive cycle in eliminating the evil and saving sentient beings. We also realized for each practitioner, we should pay attention to our own cultivation in our daily life, do the three things well at the same time, and get them done more effectively. We should not give the evil any chances and should reduce our losses. We should work unceasingly to eliminate the evil and save sentient beings.

During the process of rescuing fellow practitioners, we must take seriously the task of "exposing local evils to local residents." Practitioners from our county have common understandings on this. We believe this was an important step or element for us being able to rescue five times successfully.

Moreover, regular coordination and cooperation among local practitioners have set a good foundation for rescuing fellow practitioners. Thus we hope all practitioners actively get involved and join some Dafa projects. At the same time, we should pay special attention to our own cultivation during coordination. Because coordination is not giving orders and a coordinator is not a commander, we can form a close and powerful unity. When an issue arises, we can assist each other and better resolve the issue. As a whole body, we should let the evil find no place to attack us, so we can better eliminate the evil, and save sentient beings, which is what we should concentrate on.
