The Persecution of Falun Dafa Practitioner Mr. Dong Yanfa

Forty-eight-year-old Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Dong Yanfa lives in Ji’an City, Jilin Province. Mr. Dong clarified the truth about Falun Gong to the local police in 1999. Ji’an City Police Department agents illegally detained him three times. He was held 15 days the first time and three months the second time. The officials tried to sentence him to prison during his third detention. Two officers, Yang and Sun, beat Mr. Dong on April 27, 2001, until his face was covered in blood. Two police officers inserted a tube with unidentified drugs into Dong Yanfa’s nostrils on April 29, 2001. Mr. Dong felt general malaise afterwards and collapsed on the floor around 4:40 p.m. He was semi-paralyzed, saw double, couldn’t speak, and drooled constantly. He could not eat or go to the restroom.

The officials were afraid of being held responsible, so they demanded money from Dong Yanfa’s family the next day and released him. They then frequently harassed him at home, subjecting Mr. Dong to constant pressure.

Mr. Dong was again arrested at around 9:00 a.m. on November 25, 2005. The authorities took him to a detention center even though he was in serious condition. He collapsed on the floor. Then the officials ransacked his home, even having done so four times already. They continued to harass his family constantly.
