Officers From Dawangmiao Township Police Station in Suizhong County, Huludao City, Illegally Arrest Falun Gong Practitioners

Five officers from Dawangmiao Township, including Chen Yanrong, noticed practitioners Mr. Yang Jiangwei and Mr. Pei Zhihua from Suizhong County, Huludao City, Liaoning Province clarifying the truth in Gaotai Township on the evening of August 6, 2006. The officers in their police car chased the practitioners and until the two fell into a roadside ditch.

The fall severely injured practitioner Mr. Pei Zhihua. He could not move his legs and had a shattered jaw. The police sent Mr. Pei to a hospital, notified his family, and left. Mr. Pei’s family is poor, and it will be hard for them to pay the medical expenses.

The police took Mr. Yang Jiangwei to the Criminal Police Division office building near the Suizhong Detention Center. National Security Division head Li Changhua at the Suizhong Police Department later claimed, "Yang Jiangwei escaped in the early morning." Mr. Yang’s current whereabouts are unknown. His family is anxious and worried about his safety.
