By a Finnish practitioner

(Clearwisdom.net) On August 5th, 2006, Falun Gong practitioners from two different cities came to Lahti by car to promote Falun Gong and expose the brutal, ongoing persecution of Falun Gong by the Chinese Communist regime.

The host of this activity is a tour organizer in Lahti’s Lake District. He heard about Falun Gong about five years ago. After learning more about Falun Gong from the Internet, he organized an activity to promote it. He first contacted a Falun Gong practitioner through the Internet. When he learned that practitioners were happy to come to Lahti to promote Falun Gong, he advertised the activity. When practitioners arrived in the city, there were people coming to ask for informational materials immediately. They watched the exercise demonstration and learned more about Falun Gong.

After seeing a young practitioner demonstrating the Falun Gong exercises, a boy who was swimming in the lake immediately came ashore to learn the exercises. Many adults asked if there was a Falun Gong exercise site in Lahti. The host also invited practitioners to demonstrate the exercises on the stage. When the practitioner who was introducing the exercises announced that if anyone wanted to learn, they would be taught free of charge, several people immediately responded.

One person said, "I saw you in Lahti a few years ago and read your materials. I always wanted to learn Falun Gong. At last I got my opportunity today".

While people read the truth clarification materials and signed the petition to support practitioners’ efforts to end the persecution of Falun Gong by the Chinese Communist regime, practitioners further exposed the atrocities of the regime in their harvesting of organs from living Falun Gong practitioners for profit and then cremating their bodies to destroy the evidence. People said that this was terrible. They couldn’t understand why the Chinese Communist regime would want to persecute such a good cultivation practice.

The paper lotus flowers made by practitioners attracted many visitors. Practitioners took this opportunity to help more people know about Falun Gong.
