Ms. Wang Shibi, an Elementary School Teacher from Chongqi City, Passes Away After Suffering Five Years of Persecution in a Labor Camp


(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Gong practitioner Wang Shibi, 54, an elementary school teacher from Dashibu Elementary School in Xipeng Town, Jiulongpo District, Chongqi City, passed away in March, 2006 after being persecuted for five years in a labor camp.

On August 17, 2000, Ms. Wang was arrested when she was clarifying the truth in Chongqi City. Later she was illegally sentenced to five years of forced labor and detained in the labor camp of Yongchuan Women's Prison. There, she was tortured and persecuted. Later she showed symptoms of severe illness. On January 19, 2005, she was released on parole for medical treatment.

After Ms. Wang came back home, she was constantly harassed by Zhang Fawen, the director of the Xipeng Police Station in Chongqi City, along with Chen Gang and Cheng Wei from the Jiulongpo Police Station and Ma Rong from the police station affiliated with the Chongqi South Aluminum Industry Group Company. She was not allowed to do the Falun Gong exercises or go back to work. Under tremendous mental and physical pressure, Ms. Wang passed away in March 2006.
