By a Falun Gong practitioner from Changchun City

(Clearwisdom.net) I started to practice Falun Gong in 1996. I used to have many diseases, such as heart disease, kidney disease, dizziness, and a stiff shoulder. After practicing Falun Gong, all my diseases were cured and my whole body felt very light as I walk. Also, I started to menstruate again. After seeing all the amazing changes in me , my husband believed that Falun Gong was good. He started to practice Falun Gong in January 1999.

After July 20, 1999, Jiang Zemin’s regime started to persecute Falun Gong practitioners, in addition to defaming and attacking Falun Gong. My husband was scared by the propaganda and gave up his practice. As a result, in April 2000, he suffered a cerebral hemorrhage and lost consciousness. He was sent to a hospital, stayed there for a month, and lost his ability to speak or walk. After he regained consciousness, I said to him, "We should keep practicing Falun Gong!" He agreed.

It was amazing. That same day his doctor told us that if he could walk, he could check out of the hospital. At that time, he actually could not walk at all. However, when I supported him and tried to help him walk, he did walk several steps. On the second day we checked out of the hospital. In the hospital, the doctor told me that my husband had to take his medicine three times a day, three pills each time. However, I mistakenly thought the doctor said to take only one a day and one pill each time. After we came home, I understood that it’s all because of hints from Master.

After that, we studied the Fa together. Because he could not speak, I read the book and he listened. Later we borrowed audiotapes of Master’s lectures from a fellow practitioner. My husband insisted on studying the Fa and gradually was able to do the sitting exercise. At the beginning, he still insisted on taking medicine. With the help of fellow practitioners, he decided to stop taking medicine. Now, he can do all the exercises. His health quickly recovered. He can speak and take care of himself. He can read the Fa out loud. Our friends think that the speed of his recovery was amazing.

In the beginning of October 2005, my oldest son had a sudden pain in his lower back and a serious cough. His wife took him to a hospital and had a detailed exam. The results showed that he had late-stage liver cancer. The cancer cells had spread all over the liver and it was too late for surgery. The doctor said that he would only live for one to three months.

When I heard this terrible news, I immediately understood that this was a test and that I had to pass this most difficult test. At the same time, I had to help my husband to pass the test. After studying the Fa, we let go of attachments. However, we had to discuss with our son how to treat the disease and how to deal with the situation. My son said, "I don’t want to treat it anymore. I want to practice Falun Gong like Mom." I immediately said to him, "You will recover. There is nothing to worry about. Master will take care of you. But, you have to put down the mentality of wanting to get something. I believe that everything will be fine." I sent the videotapes and audiotapes of Master’s lectures and the Falun Gong books to his home. He really started to earnestly study the Fa and practice the exercises. His health really recovered. After the Chinese New Year, he went back to work.

Master saved our entire family. I will never be against Master’s wishes. I have to study the Fa well, do the three things well, be a qualified Falun Gong practitioner, and closely follow Master to reach Consummation.
