1. [Mishan City, Heilongjiang Province] Falun Dafa Practitioners Mr. Fan Mingsheng and Ms. Yu Fengying Severely Injured when Police Intentionally Crashed into Their Motorcycle

On August 11, 2006, practitioners Mr. Fan Mingsheng and Ms. Yu Fengying from Mishan City in Heilongjiang Province were riding a motorcycle on a business trip. A car came behind them and intentionally crashed into them four times, and finally forced the motorcycle into a deep ditch on the side of the highway. The motorcycle was damaged , and Ms. Yu Fengying’s right upper arm was broken. Mr. Fan Mingsheng passed out. His right arm was broken, and four of his ribs were broken. His lower back was severely injured, and his ankle was also fractured (can be confirmed by the X-ray film from Mishan City People’s Hospital). Both practitioners are now in the Mishan City People’s Hospital. Police confiscated the damaged motorcycle and the cell phones from both practitioners.

3. [Weihai City, Shandong Province] Police Attempting to Extort Money from Practitioner Mr. Xu Yingguang’s Family

In June 2006, practitioner Mr. Xu Yingguang from Wendeng City, Weihai City in Shandong Province, was illegally arrested by the State Security Division of the Wendeng City Police Department. Mr. Xu used to be very healthy and energetic, but now he can hardly take care of himself due to the torture he has suffered. The Wendeng City Police Department took advantage of the situation and started to extort money and goods from his family members, claiming that Mr. Xu would be released if his family members handed over 5,000 yuan.

4. [Chongqing City, Sichuan Province] Practitioner Mr. Zhang Qiyong Tortured in Yongchuan Prison

Practitioner Mr. Zhang Qiyong from Qijiang County of Chongqing City was arrested by agents from the State Security Division of Chongqing City in May 2004, and was illegally sentenced to seven years of imprisonment, and is being held in the Yongchuan Prison at Chongqing City. After being brutally tortured in the Yongchuan Prison, Mr. Zhang Qiyong has now been diagnosed with tuberculosis. He walks very slowly and his physical body is extremely weak.

5. [Beijing City] Practitioner Mr. Liu Guihan Sentenced to Two Years of Forced Labor

In May 2006, practitioner Mr. Liu Guihan from Beijing was illegally arrested. After he was held for three months in the Nihe Detention Center of Shunyi County in Beijing, he was sentenced to two years of forced labor.

6. [Cangzhou City, Hebei Province] Practitioner Mr. Liu Yi Suffering from Relentless Persecution

On April 1, 2006, practitioner Mr. Liu Yi from Cangzhou City was put into the No. 2 Detention Center by the Xinhua Police Department in Cangzhou City. On August 13, 2006, when Mr. Liu Yi’s family members went to the Xinhua Police Department to ask for his release, the police would not release him. Instead, they put Mr. Liu Yi’s elder brother and his relatives into the No. 1 Detention Center, and also put his younger sister into the No. 2 Detention Center, on August 15, 2006.

7. [Panjin City, Liaoning Province] A Practitioner in His Fifties Arrested

A practitioner from Panjin City in Liaoning Province is in his 50's, and has been making a living by riding a three-wheeled cart to carry passengers. On the morning of August 16, 2006, when he was clarifying the truth about Falun Dafa to his passengers and persuading them to do the "three withdrawals" (withdrawal from the Chinese Communist Party--CCP, the CCP Young Pioneers, the CCP Youth League) in the Shengtaiyuan District of the oil field, he was reported to the police, and later was taken away by police officers from the 110 Office (110 is a code for emergency in China, similar to 911 in the U.S.). His current whereabouts are unknown.

8. [Yinchuan City, Ningxia Province] Persecution Information on Practitioner Mr. Sun Jianfeng

Practitioner Mr. Sun Jianfeng from Ningxia City used to be a worker in the Yinchuan City Electric Power Supply Department of the Lanzhou City Railroad Bureau. On March 10, 2006, the Yinchuan City Electric Power Supply Department delayed the scheduled time off for Mr. Sun Jianfeng, who had been working continuously for twenty days without a day of rest. Mr. Sun Jianfeng protested such a persecutory act, and insisted on having the scheduled time off. Because of this, the Yinchuan City Electric Power Supply Department put Mr. Sun Jianfeng on probation and suspended him from work for three months.

Practitioner Mr. Yuan Xiaotian, 65 years old, had a part-time job in Chengdu City. In July 2005, because he was clarifying the truth about Falun Dafa near the Petrochemical Plant of Tianhui Town of Chengdu City, he was arrested by the police, who ransacked his temporary rental apartment. After over a year, his whereabouts are still unknown.

The Former Songyuan City Political and Judicial Committee and the Songyuan City State Security Division of Jilin Province ordered a group of people, including Wang Wen (male) from the Changling County State Security Division, to arrest Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhang Lei. Ms. Zhang Lei is currently being held in the Changling Detention Center. They threatened Ms. Zhang Ling that if she refused to write the Repentance Statement, she would be taken to a forced labor camp.

13. [Puer County, Yunnan Province] Five Falun Dafa Practitioners Including Ms. Lu Guihua Arrested

On June 4, 2006, eight people from the 610 Office of Puer County in Yunnan Province, and from the local Police Department, went to ransack the homes of Falun Dafa practitioners. After threatening them, they illegally took away practitioner Ms. Lu Guihua. On the same day, they also arrested five other Falun Dafa practitioners, including practitioner Ms. Zhang.

14. [Anren County, Hunan Province] Practitioners Mr. Peng Anlin and Ms. Fa Nu Sentenced to Forced Labor

On June 1, 2006, practitioners Mr. Peng Anlin, Ms. Fa Nu and her husband, and Mr. Si Gou from Anren County, Chenzhou City in Hunan Province, went to Guanwang Township of Anren County to distribute truth-clarification materials and to put up posters. The practitioners were arrested by the Guanwang Police Station. More than ten days later, Mr. Si Gou was released, while Mr. Peng Anlin and Ms. Fa Nu were illegally held in the Anren County Detention Center. Mr. Peng and Ms. Fa were sentenced to one year of forced labor one month later. Mr. Peng Anlin was taken to the Xinkapu Forced Labor Camp in Changsha City, while Ms. Fa Nu was taken to the Baimalong Forced Labor Camp in Zhuzhou City.

15. [Chenzhou City, Hunan Province] Practitioner Mr. Huang Zilan Illegally Sentenced to Forced Labor

On the evening of June 10, 2006, practitioner Mr. Huang Zilan from the Dongjiang Cement Factory of Zixing, Chenzhou City in Hunan Province was monitored by surveillance equipment when he was distributing truth-clarification materials. Two to three days later, he was arrested and his home was ransacked. He has been sentenced to one and a half years of forced labor and has been taken to the Baimalong Forced Labor Camp in Zhuzhou City.

16. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Practitioner Ms. Zhang Xiaoli Tortured in the Baoding City Forced Labor Camp

On June 15, 2006, practitioner Ms. Zhang Xiaolin was locked onto a bed frame for four days and four nights and was forbidden to go to the bathroom. The wounds which resulted from the beatings with an electric baton are still not healed. Her mind is no longer clear due to torture.

17. [Nahe City, Heilongjiang Province] Five Practitioners Arrested by the Tongyi Police Station in August 2006 Are Still Held in the Nahe City Detention Center

18. [Zhengzhou City, Henan Province] Nine Practitioners Including Ms. Sun Sulan Sentenced to Imprisonment

Recently, several truth-clarification material production sites in Zhengzhou City were searched. On July 5, 2006, the Jinshui District Court of Zhengzhou City held the first trial against nine practitioners, including Ms. Sun Sulan. Four practitioners were sentenced to four years in prison, while five other practitioners were sentenced to three years in prison.

19. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Ms. Zhang Xiaoyu and Another Practitioner Taken to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp

In May 2006, when practitioner Ms. Zhang Xiaoyu and another fellow practitioner were distributing truth-clarification materials at Hepingjiayuan Garden in the Wanghua District of Fushun City, they were reported to the police by the social district staff members, and subsequently were arrested by police officers from the Guangming Police Station in Wanghua District. They have been taken to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp at Shenyan City in Liaoning Province.

20. [Jixi City, Heilongjiang Province] Practitioner Ms. Wang Yuhua Arrested

Practitioner Ms. Wang Yuhua from Lishu District, Jixi City in Heilongjiang Province, was arrested on August 13, 2006. Her current situation is unknown.

21. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Practitioner Ms. Nie Jing Arrested

On the afternoon of August 14, 2006, practitioner Ms. Nie Jing from Changsha City was arrested when she went to the Hunan Tumor Hospital of Hexi District to clarify the truth about Falun Dafa to a friend.

22. [Huinan County, Jilin Province] Four Practitioners Including Mr. Cao Yongfan Arrested

On August 17, 2006, practitioners Mr. Cao Yongfan, Ms. Li Xfang, Ms. Dong Chengfang and Ms. Wang from Jinchuan District, Huinan County in Jilin Province were arrested when they were clarifying the truth about Falun Dafa.

23. [Nanyang City, Henan Province] Practitioner Mr. Qiao Sihuang Arrested

Practitioner Mr. Qiao Sihuang from Nanyang City in Henan Province is in his 60's. He is a retired worker from the Nanyang City Petroleum Mechanical Factory. On the morning of June 16, 2006, when he was posting truth-clarification materials in the Factory Staff Family Residential Court, he was illegally arrested by the factory’s security section and the Baijing Road Police Station in Nanyang City. The police also confiscated a large amount of Falun Dafa books and truth-clarification materials.

24. [Acheng city, Heilongjiang Province] Practitioner Mr. Sui Jingjiang and His Wife Ms. Wang Yanqiu Arrested

At 10:00 a.m. on August 18, 2006, four police officers from Acheng City Police Department and the Sheli Township Police Station went to the Taipinggou Village of Sheli Township to arrest practitioner Mr. Sui Jingjiang and his wife Ms. Wang Yanqiu. Both practitioners are currently being held in the Acheng City Detention Center.

25. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Guo Suying Subjected to Illegal Trial

Practitioner Ms. Guo Suying from Zhangjiakou City in Hebei Province was subjected to an illegal trial at the Qiaodong District Court in Zhangjiakou City on July 18, 2006. Her case has been transferred to the Zhangjiakou City Middle Level Court.
