Hsinchu, Taiwan: Sixth Taiwan Falun Dafa Student Camp Held at Chung Hua University (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) The Sixth Falun Dafa Student Camp was held at Chung Hua University in Hsinchu, Taiwan from Aug. 18 to Aug. 20, 2006. Close to one hundred college students, high school students and recent graduates attended the camp. They studied the Fa and did the exercises in a group, learned more about "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" and exchanged experiences about how to balance school work, cultivation and truth-clarification. It provided a great opportunity for new Falun Gong practitioners to gain a deeper understanding of Dafa and inspired them to further advancement.

Falun Gong practitioners registered at Tsing Hua University on the first day. Despite the hot weather, these young people did the exercises across the street from the dining hall. They hoped the exchange students from Beijing's Tsing Hua University would be able to see the peace and beauty of Falun Dafa and learn about the violation of Falun Gong practitioners' human rights in Mainland China.

Many students at this camp had just learned Falun Gong from the National Falun Dafa Camp two weeks ago. They experienced the benefits of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and chose to join this camp for cultivation. Lin, a new Falun Gong practitioner, said he used to think Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance was like school rules. One just needed to forbear when there was a conflict. This was his superficial understanding. At the camp, Falun Gong practitioners carefully listened to his sharing and didn't treat him differently because he was new and had little understanding about Dafa. Their sincere sharing with him helped him see the beauty of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Xu shared his experience of overcoming anger and making improvements in his xinxing. Many students, who were usually talkative and rowdy, became very quiet when studying the Fa. It was a very peaceful atmosphere!

There were many touching episodes during the camp. Some members overcame difficulties to attend the camp. One camp volunteer had to go to work at night. With very little rest, he still assisted with camp activities during the day. On the last day, all of the camp members worked together to set up the experience-sharing room. Many details showed how the Falun Gong practitioners put others before themselves. They had cultivated themselves for different lengths of time, but they were very unselfish and applied Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance in their everyday lives.
