Michigan (USA): Bringing the Beauty of Falun Dafa to Monroe County, Michigan (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) The Annual Monroe County Fair Parade was held in Monroe County, Michigan on July 30, 2006. Falun Gong practitioners attended the parade for the first time this year, and their performance was very welcome.

The parade

The parade started at 1:00 pm. Practitioners performed an exercise demonstration, waist drum and celestial maiden dance. Practitioners passed out a lot of materials to spectators along the 2-mile parade. Citizens learned the beauty of Falun Gong and brutal persecution by the Chinese Communist Party, especially the CCP's crime of harvesting organs from living people.

Ms. Jennifer Granholm, the governor of Michigan, came to the parade too. When she saw practitioners, she smiled: "You are here too. I am so glad to see you here." The governor has been a long-time friend of practitioners'. Three years ago, she announced that every May 13 from 2003 on will be Falun Dafa Day in Michigan. The governor was very happy to accept a yellow T-shirt and materials from practitioners. She also had a photo taken with practitioners.
