By a Chinese Falun Dafa practitioner in Germany

(Clearwisdom.net) My fellow practitioners all think that my experience of obtaining the Fa was relatively special. It was through anti-blockade software that I obtained the Fa on the Internet in 2003.

In July 1999, I first heard about Falun Gong on the TV in China. The media's overwhelming, negative propaganda made me wonder, "What on earth is Falun Gong? Is it really so terrible?"

Later on I constantly kept on hearing things about Falun Gong. In 2000, my mother went to Beijing by long-distance bus. On the bus, she came across a group of Falun Gong practitioners who were going to Beijing to appeal for justice for Falun Gong. They helped my mother carry her luggage, and were very accommodating. Due to the media's negative propaganda, my mother didn't dare to read their books. Later on my mother told me, "I was afraid they would be arrested as soon as they arrived in Beijing and never be able to go home."

In 2001, I was in college. One day, someone slid a floppy disk (Falun Gong truth-clarification material) underneath the door of my dormitory. Our tutor learned about it and told us not to load it, but to format the disk (delete everything) and keep it for self-use. As I got back to my dorm late, the disk was already taken and formatted by a roommate. At that time, the staged Tiananmen Self-immolation incident had just taken place. A classmate claimed that since Falun Gong people did the self-immolation, he would not look at anything from Falun Gong. But I suspected that many classmates must have looked at it, because very few classmates said bad things about Falun Gong. Before long, many Falun Gong truth-clarification materials started to come into our email boxes. I received an electronic version of Zhuan Falun. I was very excited and wanted to check out what it was. I opened it and found the typesetting very rough. I read a little bit but didn't continue as I found it too hard to understand. In this way I missed an opportunity to obtain the Fa.

One day, I overheard a roommate telling another roommate that he had listened to Radio Free Asia the day before, and that they claimed that Falun Gong was good. I was very curious. That night I listened to Radio Free Asia as well. Although the interfering noise was quite enormous, I could still hear it. In fact, the louder the noise was, the more I believed what it said. I think it was a program called "Sound of the Audience," with a lot of listeners calling in from China, including Falun Gong practitioners. After listening to the show, I was completely disappointed in the Chinese Communist Party, and I stopped wanting to join the party anymore. In the meantime, I started to pay attention to the "Triangle Boy" software and proxy technology (technology to break through the Internet blockade set up by the Chinese Communist Party).

In 2002, one day after physical education class, I picked up a note on the lawn. It was about the inconsistencies present in the self-immolation incident. I read it carefully and found it very convincing. I went home during the summer vacation, and there I heard that my relative had gotten a Falun Dafa truth-clarification CD. My mom had watched it. She said she agreed with the first part that condemned Jiang Zemin, but couldn't quite understand the second part that talked about Gods and Buddha.

In 2003, I installed broadband software on my computer. At that time I often received dynamic IPs or self-made domain names in QQ. After I clicked them open, I could read news that could normally not be accessed in China. Later on I downloaded a dynamic website software, and from then on I had a window that led me to the free world. Through a lot of comparison and thought, I generally made myself clear on the nature of Falun Gong and the Communist Party, and longed for Falun Dafa. I downloaded the audio recordings of Teacher's lectures in Dalian. When I was listening to the first lecture, I couldn't stop crying. I felt that Teacher articulated the Fa so wonderfully, and that He tirelessly and humorously explained the profound Dafa in such a simple language. I told myself, "I want to practice cultivation in Falun Dafa, and I want to return to my true self." Then I downloaded the exercise instruction video and learned the movements. When I told my roommate that Falun Gong was good, he told me his father was practicing Falun Gong too, and that his father had even attended Teacher's lectures in person. He said that the stomach disease that had bothered his father for more than ten years was cured soon after he started practicing Falun Gong. Now his father was not only physically healthy, but also energetic. My mother told me that one of her friends' aunts practiced Falun Gong, and her white hair turned black after practicing. It's a pity; I never contacted other practitioners when I was in China.

A year later, I came abroad for further studies. I got in contact with local practitioners through the practice site information published on the Internet. I started practicing the exercises, sending forth righteous thoughts and clarifying the truth with them in my spare time, trying to do the three things well.

The reason I could obtain the Fa is because of Teacher's merciful salvation. And at present, overseas practitioners using all kinds of methods to clarify the truth to people in China, are also manifestations of Teacher's grand compassion. It is their truth-clarification materials and related audio-video programs that helped me understand and walk into Dafa quickly in my circumstances in China. I understand that perhaps the effect of Dafa practitioners' truth-clarification cannot be seen right away, but it is indeed very powerful. Now the persecution of Falun Gong has been going on for seven years, and many practitioners are persistent in truth-clarification. The purpose for my writing this article is to encourage and tell fellow practitioners that, in the not-so-many days before the Fa rectifies the human world, let us not slack off; let us be persistent in truth-clarification and let us do the three things well. Let's not break our grand prehistoric vows.
