By a Falun Dafa practitioner in Taoyuan, Taiwan

(Clearwisdom.net) Our practice site was established in 1997, located in the corridor, right next to the entrance to the West Gate Parking Lot, near the intersection of Chung Shan Road and Yu Le Street in Taoyuan, Taiwan. The space is a bit narrow and small, but the walls on both sides can block wind and rain. Even during typhoons, we can still do the exercises as usual. It is really a good place for cultivation.

Practitioners at our practice site include a service man, civil servant, teacher, civil engineer, accountant, neighborhood head, Ph.D. candidate from National University of Taiwan, retired workers and housekeepers. All practitioners can come here to do the exercises. An 83-year-old aunty walks to the practice site to do the exercises all alone. She can hear and see well and often tells others that "Doing Falun Gong enables her to be healthy both physically and mentally. She does not need to have someone take care of her, and she can save quite a bit of money each month."

In summer, there are many mosquitoes due to the sweltering weather. It is also a good test for the practitioners’ concentration. An aunty did the exercises in a corner where there were many mosquitoes. She was not moved while being bitten. Instead, she thought of what Master Li says in Zhuan Falun, "You’re a practitioner so it’s not a problem for you, you’re immune to them." (The Seventh Talk, "On Killing") One year later, the mosquitoes no longer bit her, and don't even bite her when she is at home.

Falun Gong practitioners, regardless of age, profession and gender, do not collect fees and gifts, but offer exercise instruction completely free of charge. It is a righteous practice. Just as Master Li says,

These people cultivate their xinxing to be good people, and do the exercises to keep fit, which is absolutely not the so-called "superstition" maliciously fabricated by the Chinese Communist Party.

Our practice time is 4:50 a.m. to 7:10 a.m. every early morning. We do the fifth exercise first, and spend the five minutes before sending forth righteous thoughts repeatedly reciting poems from Hong Yin and Hong Yin II. After sending forth righteous thoughts, we will do the first to the fourth sets of exercises.

Falun Gong is an advanced cultivation practice of both nature and longevity. Master Li says in Zhuan Falun,

Every practitioner here attaches importance to studying the Fa and cultivating the exercises, and strives to be a good person who thinks of others first at all times. Every Friday, after doing the fifth exercise, we spend one hour studying the Fa and sharing experiences, so as to improve together. We welcome everyone to come and join our cultivation practice, and enjoy the peacefulness and wonderfulness of Falun Dafa.
