(Clearwisdom.net) On August 20, 2006, Falun Gong practitioners from Boston attended the 19^th Mid-Autumn Festival held at President Plaza in Queens.

People learn the truth of Falun Gong.

Mr. William Phelan, the mayor of Queens, visited the Falun Gong booth. Practitioners told him about the persecution in China and gave him truth-clarifying materials. Mr. Phelan said that he would read them carefully.

Mr. Douglas S. Gutro, a local politician, also learned the truth and received materials from practitioners.

After reading the materials, a lady told practitioners that she visited China in October 1999. She recalled seeing a practitioner holding a Falun Gong banner on Tiananmen Square being violently arrested by police. She is still upset by what she saw--how can police treat a peaceful appealer so violently?

Many people came to the booth asking for materials. Some Westerners asked for Chinese materials for their Chinese friends. Some people came to buy copies of Zhuan Falun. A Chinese couple learned the truth, and took some materials. They also asked for a DVD of the Nine Commentaries on Communist Party for their father.

Many people enjoyed the demonstration of exercises. Those interested in learning the exercises asked for the contact information.

A mother with a 4-year old girl learned how to make paper lotus flowers. They also learned the truth about Falun Gong. The little girl folded a flower and said: "It smells so good."

The local TV station interviewed practitioners. They appreciated the lotus flower and materials from practitioners.
