(Clearwisdom.net) On September 9, 2006, Falun Gong practitioners from Dallas held a cultivation experience sharing conference on the Arlington campus of the University of Texas. Practitioners from Dallas, Austin, Houston, Lubbock, and Oklahoma attended. The conference started at 9:30 in the morning and ended at 5:30 in the afternoon. Eighteen practitioners shared their experiences in personal cultivation, clarifying the truth, spreading the Fa and doing the three things well.
One week before the conference, practitioners had a group discussion. After the discussion, practitioners realized the importance of writing articles about their experiences. They not only review one's own cultivation, but also give chances to improve understanding of the Fa, and to find attachments. They also help other practitioners to improve. Practitioners from Dallas have group Fa-study every week. Since the time is always limited, practitioners cannot have deep communication and sharing. More and more practitioners get involved in Dafa work and truth-clarification, so it is important that everybody cultivates well and reaches the requirements of the Fa. It is also important for everyone to deal well with the relationship between daily life and cultivation. All the practitioners hoped that they would have a chance to have good sharing and communication.
Eighteen practitioners shared their experiences. There were older men, young children, engineers and housewives. They are doing different jobs to validate the Fa.
Eighty year-old Mr. Shao is from Mainland China. He has been cultivating more than ten years. He wanted to tell older practitioners not to under-estimate their roles in Fa-rectification cultivation. Although most older practitioners have language, computer and other difficulties, and cannot do some jobs that young practitioners can, they can still break through their notions and walk their own paths. Mr. Shao shared his experience mailing truth-clarifying materials to China and to neighbors in the community. No language or other special skills are required. He also shared his experience spreading the Fa and exposing the evil nature of the Chinese Communist Party, and how to do his best in these activities.
Thirteen year-old Zhang Huai-en was born in the U.S.A. His mother learned Falun Dafa when he was four. He said that he didn't understand what cultivation was when he was young, but he liked to watch Master's lecture video. Now, he understands what cultivation is and the purpose of cultivation. He tries to keep a peaceful mind at school and in society. He also attends practitioners' activities, passing out flyers and holding banners.
Several practitioners from Austin and Houston also shared their experiences. Every attendee benefited from the conference a lot. They all felt Master's benevolence. Practitioners will strive forward diligently and walk well on their cultivation paths so as not to betray Master's salvation and the expectations of sentient beings.
