Shenyang City Jail Refuses to Allow Family Visits to Falun Dafa Practitioners; Condition of Practitioners on Hunger Strike Is Unknown

#20 of the Shenyang City Second Jail in Liaoning Province have been
on a hunger strike. Several practitioners were dispersed to different production
workshops to be persecuted. Mr. Sun Yongsheng from Fushun City was one of them.
Recently, when his family members visited the jail, the prison guard dragged Mr.
Sun away as soon as they met, terminating the visit. Mr. Sun Yongsheng is very
weak, and the condition of other practitioners that are on hunger strike inside
the jail is unknown. We urge public figures around the world to pay attention to
this case and rescue them. What Happened When Mr. Sun Yongsheng's Family Came to Visit On the morning of their visit, Sun Yongsheng's family arrived at the waiting
room around 10:10 a.m. Prison guard Liu Bin, chief of supervision area #6, where
Sun Yongsheng is illegally detained, showed up and took the
identification cards of four family members. He returned at 11:30 a.m.,
announced to the family that the guards went on break at noon, and told them to
come back at 1 p.m.. At 1 p.m., meeting room prison guard Wang Wei called Sun
Yongsheng's family in. Only the parents were allowed to visit, and the two
sisters had to wait outside. When Mr. Sun and his parents met, his father said, "Four of us came to
visit, but they'll only allow your mother and me in to see you. Your two sisters
are waiting outside, and they're not allowed to visit you." Sun Yongsheng
replied, "That is Li Jianguo's decision. Go find him, and I will too."
(Li Jianguo is the brigade chief of supervision area #20, where all the
practitioners are detained.) By then Wang Xiurong, the assistant director of the meeting room, arrived,
called out Mr. Sun's mother, and explained to her why only two out of the four
family members were allowed to visit. At the same time, the meeting room prison
guard, Jiang Dawei, grabbed Sun Yongsheng's arm. Before Mr. Sun's father could
speak, the guard forcibly and arrogantly pulled the son away. When Sun Yongsheng's mother returned, the visitation was already over, and
she didn't even have a word with her son. The elderly couple had to leave. During the visit, the family members noticed that Mr. Sun Yongsheng's hands
trembled, and his body was very weak. I can't help but remember what happened during Sun Yonsheng's hunger strike
in 2005, although we only found out about it afterwards. Prison officials
suddenly terminated the family visit at that time as well. When the family tried
to contact the head of the prison, the prison guards and local policemen
threatened them and told them to go away. At the time Li Jianguo asked for the
family's phone number, but because they didn't have a home phone they gave him a
relative's phone number. When Sun Yongsheng's life was in danger from the hunger
strike and he was sent to the hospital for emergency treatment for five days,
however, Li Jianguo didn't even notify the family. When Sun Yongsheng's family
asked Li Jianguo about it, he casually replied, "I cannot recall." The
authorities don't take human lives seriously. Since then, the relative's phone
line has been tapped, and they often receive strange phone calls. This time the family saw how weak Mr. Sun Yongsheng was and noticed the
tyrannical attitude of the prison guards and officials. The family is very

in supervision area #20 of Shenyang City Second Jail. We don't know the
condition of the other practitioners, but based on Mr. Sun's weak physical
condition, they are probably still on a hunger strike and are requesting to be
released with not-guilty verdicts. We ask that practitioners send forth
righteous thoughts, expose the evil acts, and rescue these practitioners. We
also appeal to the righteous people around the world to pay attention to this
case and rescue these practitioners. According to Clearwisdom.net's news article on August 2, 2006, about the
persecution in China, practitioners in supervision area #20 of Shenyang City
Second Jail have been hunger striking. The authorities decided to disperse the
hunger-striking practitioners to different production workshop rooms to further
persecute them. Prisoners' daily lives and production labor issues are managed
by the specific supervision area. Supervision area #20 manages issues related to
Falun Gong, such as visitation. The practitioners that were dispersed include
Zhao Jiyuan (Shenyang City), Hu Guojian (Fushun City), Sun Yongsheng (Fushun
City), and Huang Gang (Fushun City). The situation of others is not known.
Presently, we know that some practitioners were sent to Xiangjiao supervision
area #6, supervision area #8, and supervision area #1. Note: Since the prison is profiting from prison labor, the prison switchboard
