Central News Agency: Former Canadian MP to Boycott '08 Beijing Olympic Games
(Clearwisdom.net) On September 13, Central News Agency reported that
former Canadian Member of Parliament David Kigour said in Paris that the Chinese
Communist regime should immediately stop the practice of forceful organ
transplantation, which violates human rights. If the regime doesn't respond,
Kigour said that he will lobby Canada to boycott the Beijing Olympic Games and
hopes that other countries will join as well. Kigour has been actively involved
in investigations into allegations of organ harvesting from Falun Gong
practitioners in China. Accompanied by the president of a local human rights organization, the former
Canadian Secretary of State for Asia Pacific Affairs held a press conference in
Paris to condemn the Chinese Communist regime's alleged atrocities of harvesting
organs from living Falun Gong practitioners. The president of the human rights
organization pointed out that the Chinese Communist regime should observe the UN
Convention against Torture, which was ratified by the regime, and the alleged
organ harvesting practice severely violates human rights. At the press conference, Mr. Kilgour reiterated findings of his investigation
report. Though they could not enter China to perform investigation, he pointed
out that reliable evidences has confirmed that the Chinese Communist regime
seizes organs from detained Falun Gong practitioners . Mr. Kilgour said that the practice of seizing organs from unwilling Falun
Gong practitioners should be stopped immediately in China. The Chinese Communist
regime must investigate this alleged practice. |
