By a Taiwanese Falun Gong practitioner

(Clearwisdom.net) Miaoli County in Taiwan is divided into 18 villages and towns. The Hakka ethnic group compries most of the population, and most people work in agriculture. The people in this area are simple and honest. The county is nicknamed "Mountain City." Many people in the county started to practice Falun Dafa when it was first introduced in Taiwan in 1997. The youngest practitioner is only six and the oldest is 74. They do the Falun Gong exercises and study the Fa in parks and schools, rain or shine. Let's have a look at a few exercise sites.

Falun Gong practitioners at the Qiaoshan Elementary School exercise site do the exercises every day, rain or shine, unless there is a hurricane. They do the exercises on the basketball court from 4:20 to 6:20 in the morning and move to the covered stage when it rains.

The site was established by a few practitioners in 2000. Because of Falun Gong's amazing health effects, more and more people soon joined. Most practitioners are in their 40s or 50s. There are a few in their 60s and 70s. Ms. Yang used to have a duodenal ulcer, asthma, sore joints, edema, gynecological diseases, and others ailments. After she started cultivation, all of her diseases miraculously disappeared. She treasures Falun Dafa very much.

Ms. Yang's husband had cardiac disease. When he had heart problems, he looked so pale that you would think he was dying. He took medicine for years but it didn't work. However, his cardiac disease went away by practicing Falun Gong.

Mr. Fan had gastric disease for 20 years. After three days of practicing Falun Gong, the disease was gone. He used to weigh 50 kilograms. After doing the Falun Gong exercises for a year he gained 10 kilograms.

Several other people have similar experiences. They used to have numerous diseases but were cured after practicing Falun Gong.

Established in June 2004, the exercise site at Pantao Elementary School looks gorgeous in the early morning light. The jogging track is paved with red bricks. The grass is very green in the morning. Falun Gong practitioners arrive at this beautiful campus by bike or motorcycle. They hang up a banner that says, "Falun Dafa." Meditation starts at 4:20 a.m. The exercises end at 6:40. By sunrise, every practitioner starts the day full of energy. People living nearby sometimes join the exercises, too.

On hot summer days, there are a lot of mosquitoes in the early morning. A practitioner said that when a mosquito stung him, he didn't slap it, but peacefully continued his meditation. When people doing other kinds of exercises make a lot of noise, the Falun Gong practitioners always remain calm and finish in harmony and tranquility.

The exercise site at Big Egg Stadium was established in 2003. Most practitioners at this site are elderly. They start the exercises after sending forth righteous thought at 5:55 a.m. They used to just do one hour of standing exercises but now they have extended it to include the meditation. On weekends, they spend one hour on exercises and another hour on Fa-study.

Falun Dafa has improved the health and morality of more than one hundred million people. It has been spread to more than 80 countries. We welcome people around the world to join us.
