Baimalong Women's Forced Labor Camp Authorities Torture Falun Gong Practitioners with Strait Jackets and Sewing Needles

(Clearwisdom.net)

Since July 20, 1999, Baimalong Women's Forced Labor Camp in Zhuzhou City, Hunan Province, has become one of the most notorious places in China that cruelly persecutes Falun Gong practitioners. There are three teams: the Seven-One Team (Strict Discipline Team), the Seven-Two Team ("Transformation" Team), and the Seven-Three Team (Attack Team). Two to five prisoners are designated to confine and monitor each practitioner. They torture practitioners physically and psychologically in order to force them to renounce their belief.

Baimalong Women's Forced Labor Camp authorities use various tortures to persecute practitioners: handcuffs, electric batons, forced standing, continuous squats, beatings, stabbing the body with fingers and sewing needles, confinement in strait jackets with hands tied up behind the back, etc.

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Li Qing, was monitored by five prisoners in the Seven-Three Team. They gagged her with tape and beat her on her head and body until the broom and small backless stool they were using broke. Since Ms. Li did not cooperate, the authorities claimed she had a mental disorder, and they mixed unknown drugs into her rice soup. When Li Qing went on hunger strike to protest this persecution, the guards and prisoners force-fed her and injected her with drugs after tying her up on a metal bed.

Practitioner Ms. Wen Huiying was diagnosed with heart disease after she was arrested and taken to the forced labor camp. She was very weak. Even in this condition, she was deprived of sleep for a couple weeks and beaten on the head with a metal hanger. What's worse, she was forced to wear a strait jacket with her hands tied behind her back and her feet tied together. Because she went without sleep for so long, Ms. Wen frequently fell to the ground. As the result, her face became swollen and bled, and she could not open her eyes. However, the camp authorities continued to torture her using sewing needles to stab her fingers and body. They also beat her.

Ms. Wen Huiying went on a hunger strike to protest these inhuman tortures. The guards used chopsticks and a toothbrush to pry her mouth open and force feed her. She was not allowed to use the toilet or change her wet clothing in the cold of winter for weeks. Her teeth were knocked out, and she also spit up blood due to the force-feeding. On top of all this, she was injected with unknown drugs. Consequently, Ms. Wen Huiying became emaciated, and her weight dropped to nearly 60 pounds. She was only released on medical parole when she was on the verge of death.

Another practitioner detained in the No.1 ward was beaten so badly that he suffered urinary incontinence and was sent to a hospital.

In the middle of April 2006, to deceive the public, the Seven-Three Team was merged into the Seven-One Team. For the "transformation" of one practitioner, the "meritorious" guards are financially rewarded, and the prisoners have their sentences reduced by 20 days.

Guards responsible for these acts of persecution include: Zheng Xia, Policewoman Shi, Tang Kaili, Policewoman Peng, and Policewoman Tan. The vicious persons who helped them are: Yi Hongxia, Wang Yan, Luo Yonghong, Fu Qing, Yuan Chunxia, and Li Yin.

We urge all people of conscience to pay attention to the persecution taking place in Baomalong Forced Labor Camp and to give a hand to help rescue the detained Falun Gong practitioners and stop the persecution in China.
