(Clearwisdom.net) Note: The following is a shortened version of two longer and more detailed articles that appeared on the minghui.ca website (Chinese version of Clearwisdom.net).

Zhang Yulan is a 65-year-old Falun Gong practitioner from Yintan Town, Yinhai District, Beihai City, Guangxi Province. Officials from the Yinhai District Politics and Law Committee, from the Yinhai District Police Department, the Longtan Police Station and from the Longtan Village Office harassed her at her home many times after the persecution began on July 20, 1999, trying to force her to give up Falun Gong.

The lawless officials coerced Zhang Yulan to go to Longtan Village Office in 2002 to sign documents and be fingerprinted. They brainwashed her for half a day. The following year, in 2003, they brainwashed her again for another half-day. On April 11, 2006, Zhang Yulan was reading Falun Gong books with some other practitioners when some officials jumped into her backyard and arrested them. The same group of officials harassed her again at home on June 13, 2006.

Lao Kaimei is a 56-year-old practitioner from Yintan Town of the Yinhai District. Officials harassed her at home many times, attempting to force her to denounce Dafa. The officials forced her to go to Longtan Village Office in 2002 to sign documents and be fingerprinted. They also brainwashed her for half a day. They brainwashed her again for half a day in 2003. Lao Kaimei, Zhang Yulan and some other practitioners were taken to Longtan Police Station on April 11, 2006, where the police videotaped them and forced them to write a guarantee statement, be fingerprinted and sign documents. Lin Yunchan, Lin An and some other people led the police and broke into Lao Kaimei’s home. They confiscated two Falun Gong books at noon two days later. This group of people harassed Lao Kaimei again at her home at 9:00 p.m. on June 13, 2006.

Zhang Xiuqiong is a practitioner from Yintan Town of the Yinhai District. Officials attempted several times to get her to denounce Falun Gong. These persecutors are from the Yinhai District Politics and Law Committee, Yintan Town, the former Xitang Town in Yinhai District, Yinhai District Police Department, Longtan Police Station and Xiacun Village Office. They also harassed her at home. She went to Beijing to appeal in July 2000. Officers from the Yinhai District Police Department and from the Longtan Police Station arrested her and took her to Longtan Police Station. They held her there for one day, interrogated her and forced her to sign documents and be fingerprinted. They transferred her to the No. 2 Detention Center at night and held her there for one month. She was forced to go to a brainwashing class held at Longtan Village Office in March 2001 and she was held there for fifteen days. The persecutors made her to go to the Xianguan Village Office in March 2003 to copy a letter so the police could compare her handwriting to that of the author of a truth clarification letter. She was again arrested in September 2003 and interrogated at Yinhai Police Department for two days. She was forced to attend a brainwashing class held at the Xiacun Village Office for fifteen days. Then she went home.
