By Liu Xiang, a non-practitioner who recognizes the goodness of Dafa

(Clearwisdom.net) My wife started practicing Falun Dafa in August 1995. She benefited a lot from this practice and our family was very happy, too. But after the persecution began, everything changed. One day, in order to validate Dafa, my wife went with her fellow practitioners to the Provincial government to appeal for justice for Dafa. When I came back home from work, I could not find my wife. She had been arrested by the police. I was so upset that I destroyed Master Li's picture and my wife's Dafa books. When my wife came back home the next day, I beat her very badly.

On the night of October 10, 2000 my wife was arrested while posting Dafa truth-clarification material. She was sentenced to one year in a forced labor camp. After that my home was totally ruined; it seemed as if sky had collapsed. Nobody could take care of our two school-age children while I was at work during the day. When I came back home from work, I was exhausted, but I still had to take care of the children. I was under tremendous stress and became very irritated. I therefore vented all my negative feelings about my situation upon Dafa, Master Li and my wife. Because I did not have a clear understanding about Dafa and Master, I cooperated with the evil and went to the forced labor camp to curse my wife and insulted Master Li at the urging of the police.

In February 2003, when my wife was leaving for Beijing to appeal for justice for Dafa, I stopped her and destroyed Master's picture from the book Zhuan Falun. One month later I was suddenly stricken with an unknown and mysterious illness. I could not eat or drink; it was difficult to tolerate the pain at all. I thought I had cancer. Finally after visiting several hospitals I was diagnosed with laryngitis. I spent lots of money to get shots and medication but nothing worked.

While I was suffering from my illness, my wife, together with her fellow practitioners, repeatedly clarified the truth to me with great patience. They advised me to read "Zhuan Falun." Because I had no any other alternative, I started to read it. Before I could finish reading one lecture, I fell asleep, still holding the book.

When I woke up, I experienced something amazing. All the pain I had suffered had disappeared, and I became normal again.

This autumn, my body developed lots of little bumps. It was so itchy that I could not sleep at night. The hospitals could not figure out what was wrong with me. Finally a famous hospital diagnosed my illness as shingles (herpes zoster). This is described sometimes as "a flying snake circling around the body." It is said that if the infection completely circled the body the patient would die. I took lots of medication and shots but I did not get better. My wife once again played the tapes of Master's lectures for me. Once again I was saved by our merciful Master.

I suffered many times from different illnesses, yet every time, amazing things happened to me after reading Dafa books. I understood eventually the law of heaven, that good is rewarded with good and evil is met with evil. I am advising people who do not understand Falun Gong to read material about it from practitioners. Then you will treat Dafa and Dafa practitioners with kindness and you will be rewarded with good future.

I am not practicing Dafa but miracles of Dafa are realized in me. I realize that Falun Dafa is really good, as "The Buddha-light illuminates everywhere and rectifies all abnormalities." As one person practices Dafa, the whole family benefits. How great and merciful Master Li is. I appreciate from bottom of my heart that Dafa and Master gave me a chance to renew my life.

I do not believe any of the lies that the Communist Party has fabricated, and I have resigned from all organizations affiliated with the party. When I recall all the words and all the things I said and did against Dafa and Master and all the suffering I created for my wife, I feel extremely sorry and shameful.

From now on, as the family member of a practitioner who benefits from Dafa, I will use my own personal experience to support Dafa, so that more and more people can know the goodness of Dafa.
