Taiwan: Club Introduces Falun Gong to University Newcomers (Photos)
(Clearwisdom.net) On September 20 and 21, National Chung Cheng University
held a club fair to welcome new students. Sixty-five clubs and thousands of
students packed the university's event center. The Falun Dafa Club, joined by
many local practitioners, set up an information booth to introduce the practice
to new students. Practitioners introduce Falun Gong to new
students Club members displayed Zhuan Falun, Falun Gong
introduction booklets, event photos, and other truth-clarifying
materials for students to read. They also played Master Li Hongzhi's exercise
instruction video continuously using a small TV. At the site, one practitioner
demonstrated the fifth exercise, "Strengthening Divine Powers."
Several practitioners distributed Falun Gong booklets to students. The booklet elaborated on the principles of "Truthfulness, Compassion
and Forbearance" and detailed the spread of Falun Gong in Taiwan, as well
as the brutal persecution of the practice in China. A practitioner who was
distributing the booklets later said, "The students are very sincere and
curious. Many of them took our materials to learn about Falun Dafa and the
persecution." A member of the Falun Dafa Club told a reporter: "The club was
established by a professor six years ago. Members include students and several
professors. We practice together on campus after afternoon classes everyday. In
addition, we have a weekly Fa study night. Every year, some student members
graduate and new students join in to carry on club activities." Though the club fair was very noisy, one practitioner meditated quietly,
demonstrating the sitting meditation. Another practitioner explained features of
the practice. The display drew many students' interest. One practitioner explained, "I started practicing Falun Dafa because I
witnessed the beauty of the practice. It was not until I started to practice
that I realized that the teaching of Falun Gong is profound. I wish everyone
would come to learn the practice."
