By a Falun Dafa practitioner in China

Eight-year-old Yuanyuan is an intelligent girl. She was born in 1998 when the Fa was being widely spread in China.

Yuanyuan was raised by her grandmother, who is a Falun Dafa practitioner. Whenever her grandma did the Falun Dafa exercises, she would watch quietly. When her grandma studied the Fa, Yuanyuan would quietly listen. She would fall asleep listening to the music of "Pudu" and "Jishi." The first word she said was "Teacher" and the first words she wrote were "Dafa is good." The first poem she memorized was "The Path to Divinity is Difficult:"

"A long, long time--ten thousand lifetimes of predestination
Dafa, like a thread, strings them together
Amidst tribulation, the gold body is refined
There is no reason for steps so slow."

She said, "When I was in heaven, I pushed aside a cloud and saw that I could obtain the Fa in this family, so then I came."

In 2000, the grandma and other practitioners began making Falun Dafa truth-clarification materials. The equipment that was used to make the truth-clarification materials was placed in the closet where Yuanyuan played hide-and-seek with her parents. Somehow, Yuanyuan seemed to know that she shouldn't play the game anymore.

After her mother left for work, the equipment would start printing fliers and Yuanyuan would quietly look at them and then pick them up. That was her favorite thing to do. She also participated in Fa-rectification by going out with her grandma to pass out the materials. She would hide many fliers in her overalls. She would sit on the bicycle as grandma peddled to go out to clarify the truth.

One time, Yuanyuan got off the bike, but didn't move to distribute the fliers. Grandma told her to go ahead and she said she couldn't because she carried too many fliers with her. Yuanyuan was only two years old then.

Yuanyuan liked to write, "Falun Dafa is Good" and "Truth, Compassion, Forbearance Is Good." One day as she was writing, her mother walked in. Her mother was amazed that at the age of three years old she could write those difficult characters better than the average adult.

Later, Yuanyuan and her grandma went back to live in their hometown. That was her favorite time. She always went out with her grandma to deliver truth-clarification materials and helped with slipping the fliers under the door of every house. The posters she put up always looked neat and clean. When she played with her friends, she would sit down on the ground with her legs in the double-lotus position and send forth righteous thoughts. She would tell her friends to remember that "Falun Dafa is good."

Yuanyuan's mother took her back to the city and sent her to daycare. Her mother was a teacher and knew that Dafa was good. However, in the evil environment in China, her mother feared the Chinese communist party's despotic power. Her mother personally witnessed an excellent fourth grader get dismissed from school because he wouldn't give up his belief in Truth, Compassion, Forbearance. Yuanyuan's mother didn't want her to mention anything about Falun Gong. However, the seed of Truth, Compassion, Forbearance had been deeply planted in Yuanyuan's heart.

One time Yuanyuan's mother took her to a colleagues' house to play. Yuanyuan told the colleague's child to remember that Falun Dafa is good and showed the child how to do the sitting meditation. She proudly told the child, "I have a Teacher and his name is Mr. Li Hongzhi." After her mother learned about this, she spanked Yuanyuan.

The next time Yuanyuan saw grandma, she told grandma, "I wanted to save mother and told her Dafa was good, but she disapproved. She said that if I did it again, I would be locked in a small dark room and couldn't go to school anymore. Because I told my friend about this, she spanked me several times." Her grandma asked Yuanyuan, "Are you afraid?" With her head up high she said, "I have Teacher." Her grandma asked, "Do you still believe Teacher and the Fa?" Yuanyuan replied, "Yes I do." Then she whispered, "I miss Teacher now."

Every time Yuanyuan saw her grandma, she always had a lot to share with her grandma about the practice.

Yuanyuan would take the initiative to write "Falun Dafa is Good," and "Truth, Compassion, Forbearance is Good" on the fliers she made herself and tape them up in the building where she lived without her grandmother or other practitioners telling her. She also helped out at home by taking the trash out even though she was only in kindergarten. Her mother was happy that Yuanyuan shared in doing the housework.

Last year, Yuanyuan was in the first grade. She often quietly told the students to remember "Falun Dafa is Good" or gave them amulets. She also urged her fellow students to withdraw from the Communist student group called the Chinese Young Pioneers. She would bring chalk with her and write "Falun Dafa is Good" and "Truth, Compassion, Forbearance is Good" on the walls in the hallways. She said she did that because she wanted to save sentient beings.

Yuanyuan's grades were outstanding and she was elected as the class chairman. She also won many awards. Everyone liked her. In the comment section, her teacher wrote, "You are a bright, beautiful, understanding and kind - a most outstanding student. Your handwriting is excellent!"

What Yuanyuan wishes for mostly is to get together with her grandma during the weekends and holidays because she can study the Fa and do the exercises! She is always eager to share experiences with her grandma and other practitioners because this is what makes her happy. One time, she told her grandma that she yearned to be like the young practitioners overseas who can go to the Minghui Schools, study the Fa and do the exercises freely, and can yell out on the street, "Falun Dafa is Good!"
