(Clearwisdom.net) From August 23 to September 2, 2006, the
"Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" Art Exhibition was held in the
Art Department of the University of Nebraska-Omaha. The exhibition was
co-organized by the Art Department. The department helped Falun Gong
practitioners to mail 5,000 postcards to promote the exhibition. Many artists
came to attend the opening ceremonies. They praised the exhibition and were
amazed by the artworks. The exhibition Many people gained a better understanding of Falun Gong through the
exhibition. An older couple told practitioners that they thought that Falun Gong
was some kind of political movement, but now they understand that Falun Gong is
not political. Many people wanted to learn Falun Gong after viewing the art.
Practitioners told them the schedule and location of the free workshops. An American student told practitioners that he had just come back from
Beijing. Before he went to Beijing, his mother had warned him not to get in
touch with Falun Gong practitioners, so as to prevent him from encountering
trouble with the authorities. But he learned about Falun Gong from the Internet,
and does the exercises by himself. When he heard about the exhibition, he came
right away wanting to join the group Fa-study and exercises.
