Divine Land Marching Band Stands Out at Toronto Scarborough Fair (photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On Sunday, September 24, 2006, Friends of Falun Gong in Canada had the annual fair open to the public at Milliken Park in Scarborough, Toronto. About one thousand visitors watched the wonderful song and dance performances by Falun Gong practitioners.

Falun Dafa Photo Exhibition Has Good Effect

A photo exhibition was set up to introduce the wide spread of Falun Dafa and the persecution of Falun Gong in China.

A visitor from Guangzhou City said, "I looked at the pictures. They are very valuable. I suggest that they be combined into a book or picture album to save for future generations. If you have done this, I want to buy one."

He continued, "I know the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) nature clearly. It is just like the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party said. Actually, most Chinese people went abroad to get out from under the control of the CCP. I respect everyone's right of belief. I am sympathetic towards and support Falun Gong."

A spokesperson for Falun Gong, Mr. Yang, introduced the characteristics of Falun Dafa and talked about the book, Zhuan Falun, the five sets of exercises and the principles of "Truthfulness Compassion Tolerance."

Mr. Yang also recommended that the audience read the Nine Commentaries and said that people should withdraw from the CCP so that China will have a bright future.

An old gentleman from Taiwan asked, "Where can I buy the book Zhuan Falun? I want to read it."

A Chinese person said, "The Nine Commentaries from The Epoch Times sounds a righteous voice for the Chinese people." Later, he signed the "Stop the Persecution of Falun Gong" signature collection form.

The performance by the Divine Land Marching Band was the highlight of the event. The band performed twice for the audience. The second time, it was the last performance of the day. At that time, the dark clouds that had started to gather since morning were very low. It was already raining outside the park. But inside the park, there was not a single drop of rain.

The audience didn't notice the weather change and listened to the music earnestly. When the performance was over and people were leaving, a heavy rain suddenly poured down. Many people rushed to a large pavilion nearby. Several members of the band also waited inside the pavilion and they performed, "Falun Dafa is Good" again for the people inside pavilion.

The director of band, Mr. Jiang, said that the band has been established for five months. During this time, they have performed 15 times in five cities and are becoming well known.
