Two Cases of Practitioners Being Mistreated at Emei Mountain and in Deyang City

(Chinese version of Clearwisdom.net). Two Practitioners Mistreated at Emei Mountain On July 28, 2006, seven visitors were stopped, searched, and detained without
any justification at Emei Mountain, Sichuan Province. Among them, two
practitioners, including Ms. Shao Yuxia and Ms. Zhou Mingchun, were detained.
Five other non-practitioners were released after they were detained for a couple
of hours. Ms. Shao and Ms. Zhou were taken to a detention center. Reportedly Ms.
Shao Yuxia was sentenced to one-and-a-half years of forced labor. She was
transferred to Nanmusi Women's Labor Camp in Zizhong City, Sichuan Province and
mistreated there. Practitioner Ms. Yang Suhui Mistreated Practitioner Ms. Yang Suhui, a resident of Deyang City, Sichuan Province, was
reported to police when she was clarifying the truth at Dongpo District, Meishan
City, Sichuan Province during the Lunar New Year in 2006. She was arrested by
policemen from Dongpo District and held at the detention center. Her family
members spent a lot of money but were unable rescue her. Ms. Yang was sentenced
to one year of forced labor. She is now detained at the Nanmusi Women's Labor
Camp in Zizhong City, Sichuan Province. Prior to Ms. Yang being transferred to
Nanmusi Labor Camp, she had been detained for a period of time at the Emei
Mountain Detention Center.
