(Clearwisdom.net) On September 3, 2006, Falun Gong practitioners participated in the annual First Settlement Festival in Redcliffe, Queensland. On this special day for local residents to cherish the memory of their ancestors, Falun Dafa, from the ancient east, planted the seeds of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance" in people's hearts.

The festival was held on a beautiful seashore. A variety of colorful booths were set along the seashore. The Falun Dafa booth looked very peaceful, pure, and unique with its banners and display boards.
The host of the activity introduced Falun Dafa at 9 in the morning. Several practitioners demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises on a stage. Their golden uniforms and smooth movements with the peaceful music and simultaneous narration fascinated many people. Following the demonstration, practitioners performed a wonderful ribbon dance, a flower fairy dance, a dance in Tang Dynasty costumes, and waist drum playing. Their performances demonstrated traditional Chinese culture to Australians.
Many people stopped by the Falun Dafa booth to find out more information and to sign their names in support of the anti-persecution effort.
A kind-hearted Australian left his phone number and address. He was happy to do more to help stop the persecution. He took some signature forms and printed materials so that he could help collect more signatures. He planned to take the signatures to his Member of Parliament. He picked up the flyers others tossed on the ground and returned them to the practitioners.
A little girl of 11 or 12 years old carefully read the display boards and told practitioners, "I hope the persecution will stop soon!"
Many people with a strong sense of justice expressed their willingness to help stop the persecution. Many wanted to learn Falun Gong. The practitioners were kept busy until 3 o'clock in the afternoon.
