(Clearwisdom.net) Before the 2002 New Year in Hefei City, Anhui Province, 610 Office agents and policemen from the Jinzhai Street Station (under the Luyang District, Hefei City Department) stormed into Ms. Zhu Guangzhen's home, ransacked the place and arrested her, and then had her sentenced to three years in prison to be served in the Suzhou City Prison. Ms. Zhu was released in July 2005 with a very weak body, and she was severely injured, both mentally and physically. She died in July 2006.

Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhu Guangzhen, 72, lived in the family housing of Anhui Province Education Institute. After the persecution began on July 20, 1999, Ms. Zhu went to Beijing three times to validate Falun Dafa. The second time, she was taken to the Anhui Province Liaison Office in Beijing, where guards forced her sit in a squatting position for a long time, cruelly beat her, and kicked her so hard that her leg was covered with purple bruises. She was later detained in the Hefei City Detention Center. The third time she went to Beijing to appeal, she unfurled a banner in Tiananmen Square, and she was taken to be detained in a detention center in Hebei Province. She held a hunger strike for eight days to protest, and she absolutely refused to give in. She later walked out with righteous thoughts.

Upon returning to Hefei City, she was arrested three times for clarifying the truth, passing out fliers, and protecting truth clarifying materials. The last time she was arrested was before the 2002 New Year, when Hefei City 610 Office agents and policemen from the Jinzhai Street Station (under Luyang District, Hefei City Department) stormed into Ms. Zhu Guangzhen's home, ransacked the place, and arrested her. Ms. Zhu was forcibly carried into the police vehicle, and her leather jacket was torn. She remained on hunger strike for one month, but was still sentenced to three years in prison. She was sent to Suzhou City Prison in Anhui Province. Her term was extended six months, and she returned home in July 2005.

In the Suzhou City Prison, Ms. Zhu kept doing Falun Dafa exercises. Guards encouraged prisoners to slam her head against the wall by grabbing her hair, which caused her front teeth to be knocked out. She was both mentally and physically tortured resulting in her eyesight being reduced so she could not see anything during the night, and she was very weak. She passed away in July 2006, as a result of the torture received in prison.

The mistreatment to which Ms. Zhu was subjected to between early 2002 and July 2005 in the Suzhou City Prison is under investigation.
