My Experience Clarifying the Truth on the Phone

(Clearwisdom.net) I chose to clarify the truth with telephone calls mainly for the convenience, but initially I had the attachment of fear, so I had another practitioner show me how it worked. I've been working on this project for three years so far. It's Teacher's Fa and positive feedback from our fellow practitioners in Mainland China that's encouraged me to stick with it. Teacher emphasized the effectiveness of overseas practitioners clarifying the truth to Mainland China in the lecture, "Teaching the Fa in the City of Los Angeles"

"But Taiwanese students' helping to clarify the truth to Mainland China and Hong Kong and to Chinese communities in other areas is very important. Teacher absolutely affirms the things you are doing. You have put forth a great deal of effort to clarify the truth to Mainland China in particular, and the effect has been excellent! I've said this to the Taiwanese students many times--they have done this really well."

After making phone calls for a year I began to call the people responsible for the persecution, and I learned that clarifying the truth to the police could not only rescue persecuted practitioners, but save the police officers as well. Think about it, if the police stopped arresting practitioners, they'd be able to clarify the truth to many more people and save huge numbers of beings.

Each call to clarify the truth I make is a reflection of my cultivation state and tests my every attachment, such as my attachments to fear, competitiveness, being overjoyed, and showing off. One day after I hung up the phone, my husband said, "You're quarreling rather than clarifying the truth." Because the person I called criticized Dafa, I failed to maintain my xinxing and my attachment to competitiveness was stirred up. Since then, having continued to cultivate and study the Fa, when my mind remains undisturbed while clarifying the truth I've experienced what Teacher said,

"Compassion can harmonize heaven and earth, ushering in spring.
Righteous thoughts can save the people in this world." ("The Fa Rectifies the Cosmos," Hong Yin II)

Certainly I haven't achieved a good effect with every call. Sometimes I do better, sometimes not, but our righteous rights have a great effect on each phone call I made.

After working on the project to convince Party members to withdraw from the CCP and its affiliated organizations, I understand why so few practitioners have tried calling those responsible for the persecution. They might be intimidated by the persecutor's social status, especially those high-ranking government officials and police officers. But for practitioners newer to the project, they may not know who they are talking to and trying to persuade to quit the Party. I remind myself from time to time not to differentiate between sentient beings, since each of them used to be our Teacher's family members. No matter their social status, it's the sentient beings themselves that Teacher cherishes. Let's accomplish this sacred mission to save the sentient beings together.
