An Inmate in Taiwan: I'm So Grateful for the Chance to Learn Falun Dafa By Ah De from Taiwan (Clearwisdom.net) [Note: This new practitioner is in a prison in Taiwan for wrongdoing prior to learning Falun Gong. In Taiwan, Falun Gong is practiced freely and is not being persecuted. The fellow practitioners mentioned below are not inmates, but volunteers who visit Taiwan's prisons to teach Falun Gong.]
People who get the opportunity to read Zhuan Falun are most fortunate. I am very fortunate to have a good karmic relationship with Falun Dafa, and was given the opportunity to participate in a group study while in prison, where we read Zhuan Falun.
In the beginning, I knew very little about Falun Dafa, but was given the opportunity to attend a group study. With the help of fellow practitioners, I got to know the true meaning of Falun Dafa, in addition to practicing the five sets of exercises. Just like what Zhuan Falun states, I am now practicing qigong at a very high level.
Zhuan Falun says,
"Our Falun Dafa is one of the eighty-four thousand cultivation ways in the Buddha School."..."Our cultivation practice is based upon the principles of the universe’s evolution, and it is guided by the standard of the universe’s highest characteristic, Zhen-Shan-Ren. We cultivate something so enormous that it equates to cultivating the universe."
I have improved my xinxing through Fa study and practicing the Falun Gong exercises. I have also gradually let go of some of my attachments. For a long time I was not able to get along with other prison inmates. After practicing Falun Dafa, I get along with them by following the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance (Zhen-Shan-Ren). Whenever someone needs help, I will try my best to give him a hand.
When I look back at myself from being an ignorant person to how I am today, I have a lot of thoughts. I was in tears when I thought of these before falling asleep for several nights. If I would have known about Falun Dafa ten years ago, I would not have ended up in prison, wishing I would have learned it earlier in life.
Falun Dafa offers salvation to sentient beings. It improves people's moral character and makes people healthy and fit. If you practice with a righteous mind, you will benefit a lot and enjoy it very much. I hope more people with a good karmic relationship will not miss this opportunity to learn Falun Dafa.
