Clarifying the Truth to an Old Friend

(Clearwisdom.net) An old classmate called me up. He told me that he was coming to town and wanted to visit me after his official business. I had not had contact with this classmate for a long time, though I heard that he had become the head of a bureau.

After his meeting, he came to my workplace to find me. He asked me to give him a tour of the town. As I was showing him around, I started talking about Dafa, the miracles I experienced in cultivation, and how practitioners were being persecuted in China. After he listened to me, he said, "I believe you. Not long ago, two police officers came to my workplace and set up two computers to eavesdrop on phone conversations. I told them that what they were doing was illegal. They showed me a document authorizing such activity from the police department. Now I will do everything in my power to protect Falun Gong practitioners."

I also told him that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) will be eliminated by the heavens and that people are withdrawing from it in waves. He said, "I am the only one in my family who joined the CCP. I told all my friends and family not to join it. I could really understand when you said that if you do not withdraw from it, you are a part of it, and thus, a target for elimination by the heavens. "

I asked if he was willing to withdraw from the CCP and its affiliated organizations. He said, "Yes, but you have to promise me that the CCP won't find out about it. I am afraid." I made up a pseudonym for him and he happily agreed. He also said, "I have a quota for encouraging people to join the CCP, but nowadays people do not want to do so at all. If I coerce others to join, won't I be doing bad things? Only those hoping to 'climb up' want to join. In such cases, I have no way to stop them." I said, "You could decline this kind of job and not be the CCP's accomplice."

Several months later, he came to me again. In front of everyone, he said, "I have done everything you have asked of me." At the time, I was very confused. Later I remembered what he had agreed to do. I finally understood: a person with such a good conscience, though I had not seen him for some time, had come to me to understand the truth and withdraw from CCP to save himself.
