Please Continue to Try to Rescue Practitioner Ms. Yang Xiuling from Henan Province
(Clearwisdom.net) Yang Xiuling is a 49-year-old Dafa practitioner from
Zhoukou City, Henan Province. She was seized by personnel from national security
at the beginning of May 2006. Yu Yiyun, head of the 610 Office in
Zhoukou City, bragged that he would sentence Yang Xiuling. She was sentenced by
Chuanhui District Court to 10 years, but the prison officers refused to accept
her. Her case was rejected and retried by Zhoukou Intermediate court due to
"insufficient evidence" on December 15. Yang Xiuling clarified
the truth to the public prosecutor and the judge. Her attorney defended
her innocence in court. Finally, the trial ended without a conviction. Yang Xiuling was the family member of one of the staff members of the Shenqiu
City Normal School. She started to practice Falun Gong on July 22, 1999 in
Shenyue Town. After she started cultivation, her illnesses vanished. Before
cultivating, her personality was very harsh and she had difficulty communicating
with others. But after she started cultivating, she became compassionate and
always considered others first. After July 20, 1999, she went to Beijing to
appeal twice and clarify the truth. She was arrested by the Shenqiu National
Security Team and detained in jail. Yang Xiuling was illegally arrested and persecuted several times by her local
policemen. She spent two New Year's celebrations in jail. During this period,
she suffered slander and torture. Police put 30 lb. shackles on her feet and
forced her to run around the courtyard of the prison. In spite of this, her
determination in cultivation has become stronger. When she was released from the Shenqiu Detention Center, Yang Xiuling's
mother-in-law was seriously ill and bedridden. In order to reduce the burden for
her brother and his wife, Yang Xiuling took the load in caring for her brother's
mother-in-law. Every day, she helped her mother-in-law to take medicine and
change clothes, and she cleaned her bodily waste with meticulous care and
without complaint. After two months, her mother-in-law died and was buried
peacefully. This behavior won the gratitude and admiration of her husband's
family. Her husband was deceived by the evil's lies and was frightened by the Chinese
Communist Party(CCP)'s high-pressure terror tactics. In fear of being persecuted
also, he divorced her. She did not have any source of income, so she started to
do some labor work to support herself and her 80-year-old mother. Yang Xiuling
still continued to clarify the truth to people and expose the CCP's lies in
order to save the people in Zhoukou. On May 4, 2006, she was reported by someone and several police officers from
the State Security Division of Zhoukou City in Henan Province broke into Ms.
Yang Xiuling's home and arrested her. The policemen took away her computer,
printer and truth clarification materials. She was taken to the Zhoukou
Detention Center and tortured. Now, seven months have passed. During this
period, the head of the Provincial 610 Office was directly involved in
persecuting her. Yu Yiyun, a member of the Zhoukou 610 Office, bragged that Yang
Xiuling would be heavily sentenced. Also, he pressured Chuanhui District Court,
where she was sentenced to 10 years in jail. When Yang Xiuling's case was exposed on the Minghui/Clearwisdom website,
righteous people used the telephone to clarify the truth. Additionally, they
suggested that her family members could ask for assistance for Yang Xiuling from
related government officials, as well as ask a lawyer to file a lawsuit. These
things had a good effect. Officers from the 610 Office tried to send Ms. Yang to
different prisons in other cities, but none of them would accept her. Chuanhui
District Court reported that the first sentence by Zhoukou Intermediate Court
was rejected due to "insufficient evidence." On December 15, 2006, Chuanhui District Court started a second trial. Yang
Xiuling clarified the truth to the public prosecutor and to the judge, and her
attorney defended her innocence in court. The atmosphere in the court was very
