After Sending Forth Righteous Thoughts, I Saw in a Dream How My World Was Transformed

(Clearwisdom.net) I may be a veteran Falun Gong practitioner that has been cultivating for over nine years, but I consider myself ill-qualified as a cultivator. I knew only of the many benefits and good fortune I experienced as the result of practicing Falun Gong. I knew only to seek Teacher for help when I encountered problems. However, I was skeptical about Falun Gong from time to time. I did not believe something if I did not see it with my own eyes. It follows that I didn't follow what Teacher requires of me. I hardly practiced the Falun Gong exercises, not to mention sending forth righteous thoughts every day. In fact, I almost ignored the fact that Teacher asks us to send forth righteous thoughts.

But something happened not long ago that shocked me and made me realize the mighty power of righteous thoughts. Since then, I have completely changed my attitude towards sending forth righteous thoughts.

That day I felt very cranky, physically uncomfortable, and listless because I had been having the same awful nightmare. In my dream there was a place overrun with poverty and filth. There were rundown houses with broken doors and rotten windows. It was a pit. The sky was gloomy and the ground was muddy and dirty. The hills were invaded by weeds. Lacking proper trimming, the the trees were untidy and out of control. For some unknown reason, I knew this world belonged to me.

Feeling distraught, I knocked on the door of a fellow practitioner and confided my dream to him. After a moment of contemplation, he asked, "Have you been sending forth righteous thoughts at the set hours every day?" I shook my head in shame. He said, "When we send forth righteous thoughts to cleanse our thoughts, we are cleansing our own world. With one thought we create and perfect our world. You must start sending forth righteous thoughts at set hours and do the Three Things well."

I realized the consequence of failing to heed Teacher's words. As we continued to exchange cultivation experiences, I felt completely enfolded in the boundless Fa. After I returned home that night, I studied the Fa in earnest until midnight and sent forth righteous thoughts.

That night I had a different dream. The place was undergoing tremendous improvements. The gloomy weather was replaced by a bright sun sending radiance to the world. The roads were straight. There was a fragrance of vegetables and flowers coming from the garden. Melons and fruits hung heavily on the branches. Everything was full of life and vigor. There were tidy rows of houses, each with clean shiny windows. To my delight, there was not only a school of fish swimming in a clear pond, but also the stem of a budding lotus flower. A large lotus flower bud was about to blossom among its large green leaves.

At that point I suddenly woke from the dream, overcome with excitement. Revered Teacher, it is you who are encouraging me. Everything you have told us is true. Everything you have told us is the boundless Buddha Fa. Only by keeping a steadfast faith in Teacher and the Fa and by living up to the title of a Falun Gong practitioner in the Fa-rectification period will I not waste your compassionate salvation.

Fellow practitioners, our righteous thoughts carry boundless mighty power, which will not only eradicate the evil, but also perfect our own worlds. Fellow practitioners, let's be diligent and cultivate ourselves solidly!
