CCP Tries to Suppress the True Voice of China

(Clearwisdom.net) The NTDTV Chinese New Year Spectacular was performed at the Canada Ottawa National Arts Center on January 12, 2007, with Canadian government officials from all levels attending the performance. The Canadian Premier sent greetings, and the audience reacted enthusiastically. Many audience members rated the performance as "one of the best shows they had ever seen."

Three days later the Chinese Embassy in Ottawa published a strongly worded statement that slandered the NTDTV show, and at the same time condemned and berated the Canadian government officials for attending the performance. It is not difficult for people to see that this was obviously targeting Canadian Premier Stephen Harper's greetings and the government officials' positive reactions.

The Chinese embassy used local media to publish its statement, attempting to impact the press and the public. But this incident again aroused the attention of the press towards the NTDTV Chinese New Year Spectacular. The Chinese Communist regime must have felt the term "propaganda machine" is not pleasant to hear, so they put this label on NTDTV. But when looking at the large amounts of facts, it is quite clear who is lying and who is telling the truth. There is no way the CCP can deny its public hate propaganda, its policy of suppression, and its inhumane persecution of Falun Gong during the past seven years.

Renowned Canadian Human Rights Lawyer David Matas Interviewed

A reporter interviewed renowned Canadian Human Rights Lawyer David Matas during the NTDTV Chinese New Year Spectacular. When analyzing the reason the CCP had tried so hard to interfere with the NTDTV show, he said, "What they're (the CCP) doing is trying to evade the accusations of trampling human rights. They have tried to evade the threat caused by the ideology that Falun Gong represents."

Mr. Matas indicated that what Falun Gong expresses is the true voice of China. He said that Falun Gong has ties to the Chinese historical traditions of qigong, Buddhism, Taoism, and Confucianism, whereas communism is basically a Western import. It has no historic Chinese roots.

He said that right now the CCP is kind of a muffler, a silencer of the real voice of China. This voice can't even be heard within China, but outside China this true voice can be heard through performances like the NTDTV’s show.

The Chinese embassy's statement will only further reduce their credibility in the eyes of the people. At the same time it helps people to increase their ability to differentiate in their process of discovering Falun Gong's truthfulness.

People have now started to pay more attention to CCP's persecution of Falun Gong, and are paying more attention to Falun Gong's truthfulness.
