Vancouver: Experience Sharing Conference Promotes Further Advancement (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Gong practitioners in Vancouver area held an experience sharing conference on January 21, 2007, to exchange their personal experiences and thoughts on cultivation, validating the Fa and doing the three things. Though it was a small, local area conference, every Falun Dafa practitioner treated it very seriously. In the peaceful atmosphere, sixteen Falun Gong practitioners shared their experiences. Young Falun Gong practitioners recited "On Buddha Law" and poems from Hong Yin in a group on stage at the beginning of the conference.

The conference covered a variety of topics. Several Falun Gong practitioners talked about their change of mentality during promotion of the Chinese New Year Gala, and how they overcame difficulties from their families, their mentality and interference in their health. But everyone gained understanding that the difficulties would be gone when they stood fast in their righteous thoughts.

One Falun Gong practitioner shared her experience promoting withdrawal from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and gave many good examples of her phone calls to China. Many people who received her calls quit the CCP and its related organizations right away. Among them were workers, farmers, students and even CCP officials. As she made improvements in her phone calls, more and more quit the CCP. She understood deeply why Master said,

Another Falun Gong practitioner shared her experience of working as a sales representative for truth-clarification media. She used to think that she couldn't talk well, and was intimidated by phone calls. But eventually she became relaxed when talking to customers. It was quite a cultivation experience for her. Her sales went well when she had righteous thoughts.

Some practitioners shared their experiences of delivering truth-clarification newspapers and distributing newsletters at subway stations. Some older practitioners were very persistent, rain or shine. Many people were touched by them.

A couple of young practitioners talked about how they balanced their Dafa work and their family roles at the critical moments of promoting the New Year Gala. Their spouses eventually supported what they did. Their experience sharing left a deep impression on their fellow practitioners.

The Chinatown truth-clarification team talked about changes among Chinese people in Chinatown made through truth-clarification. Some practitioners talked about their experience of peaceful protest around the clock in front of the Chinese Consulate and their truth clarification at the visa office. Some talked about their experiences working as reporters and editors at truth-clarification media, of doing exercises outdoors every morning, of studying the Fa starting at 4:00 a.m. every morning, of dissolving karma, and of searching their hearts for attachments when facing conflicts.

Practitioners were inspired by their fellow practitioners' experiences and saw where they lagged behind others. They are determined to keep up with Master's Fa-rectification, do the three things well, save more sentient beings and leave nothing to regret.
