Slovakia: Welcoming the New Year at the Chinese Embassy in Bratislava (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) The coming of the New Year is a good reason for celebration, but Falun Gong practitioners in Bratislava held a special event to welcome the New Year. They meditated outside the Chinese Embassy to call for an end to the 7-year persecution of Falun Gong.

The persecution of more than 100 million Falun Gong practitioners started in July 1999. Although the practitioners did nothing wrong and became healthier, model citizens through the practice, the communist regime couldn’t stand the popularity of Falun Gong. The persecution has continued to this day and thousands of people have been killed. Moreover, torture is often used and, according to recent news, the communist regime has harvested organs from countless detained practitioners, then cremated their bodies to conceal the evidence. Former Canadian state secretary (Asia Pacific) David Kilgour concluded that this crime is happening in China after performing a joint investigation with renowned international attorney David Matas. They called it "a new form of evil, which hasn’t yet been seen on this planet."

As exemplified by this peaceful demonstration in Bratislava, the Falun Gong practitioners worldwide have demonstrated a remarkable spirit of nonviolence and perseverance in their tireless efforts to resist the brutal persecution and raise awareness of the persecution.
