More Information about the Persecution of Professor Liu Limei Before Her Death

(Clearwisdom.net) An Associate Professor of Northeast Agricultural University, 41-year-old Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Liu Limei had repeatedly been through illegal arrests, imprisonment and torture. On August 12, 2003, she died at a detention center under persecution. Below is some supplemental information about the persecution Ms. Liu Limei suffered.

On the early morning of February 2, 2003, Ms. Liu Limei was imprisoned by police at the Women's Ward of the Harbin City Second Detention Center. Edema was seen all over her body. Both of her legs were dark purple and had swollen up, and the socks on her feet had become like putty. She was taken to the detention center after being tortured by Harbin City state security agents.

At the State Security Division, the agents spared no means in torturing her. They poured black mustard oil into Ms. Liu Limei's nose, but she refused to give in to their demands. Ms. Liu Limei's determination forced the police to give up hope of turning her against Dafa. Not knowing what else to do, the agents threw her into the detention center.

At the detention center, Ms. Liu Limei went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution, and she became emaciated. Because she had suffered all kinds of torture, she coughed unceasingly and ever more violently. However, she was still considerate of other people, wherever she was. She tried not to disturb others during mealtime with her coughing, and when her only source of toilet paper was fellow inmates since her family was prohibited from sending her necessities, she did her best to conserve it so that others would not be unduly burdened.

Later, Ms. Liu Limei was forcefully taken to Wanjia Hospital. This was the second time she was taken there. The first time, Liu Limei was able to leave after she went on hunger strike for six months. This time she went on hunger strike until the last moment of her life. Never compromising with the evil, she walked through her whole life full of noble spirit.
