Thoughts after Watching NTDTV's Holiday Wonders Show By Chunqu
(Clearwisdom.net) On December 21, 2006, I went to see New Tang Dynasty
Television's Holiday Wonders Show for the second time. Before the show, I stood
in front of the theater and handed out flyers to passers-by and to those who
came to see the show. On the street, I saw buses coming one by one to drop
people off at the theater. There were all sorts of Asian people and Western
people. An old Chinese man walked up to me, and I handed him a set of
truth-clarification materials. After taking the materials, he said
he would like more. I gave him a couple more, and soon he ran back to me like an
innocent child and asked for still more materials. He was giving those materials
to his Chinese friends. After seeing this, I was moved. Since I wasn't able to
give the materials to all those Chinese people personally, this old man made
sure they got the information. After that, groups of African-American students
were dropped off. I was touched by their innocent and pure appearance. Then a
tall girl with blond hair passed by on crutches and went to the ticket office.
Seeing all these people of different races and difference social classes coming
for the show from all over the world, I could not help shedding tears. I saw so
many sincere faces. I knew the opportunity to see Holiday Wonders was so
precious for them. It was Master who led them there. After that, I followed the stream of people and entered the theater myself.
As the music gradually rose for the first performance, "The Vows of
Old," tears filled my eyes again. Such wonderful music seemed to shake
people's sleeping hearts, awaken their conscience and kindness, and inspire
their desire to follow the cosmic characteristics of Truth, Compassion and
Tolerance. Jiang Min's and Bai Xue's singing was mighty and profound, seeming to
come from Heaven. Their voices went through many substances and were stronger
than the shock wave of an atomic bomb, stirring people's souls. The actress who played the role of Yue Fei's mother in the performance,
"The Loyalty of Yue Fei," gave a lively performance. When I heard the
theme song, "The Loyalty of Yue Fei," my tears flowed. Every cell in
my body was touched by the music. Every note of the music seemed to describe a
remote historic story. When thinking of Master, who came to the human world,
finding us, and leading us to where we are today, thinking that the audience of
thousands was so lucky to be here and witness Buddha's infinite grace, my tears
flowed again. My whole body shook. I cried and cried. I deeply realized my
shortcomings in cultivation from deep in my heart. Although I have been studying
the Fa these several years, I never had the deep understanding that
I understood now. NTDTV's "Holiday Wonders" show touched me greatly. I think that it
was because my knowing side was moved to tears upon seeing that Master has
unconditionally done so many things for so many lives. NTDTV's "Holiday
Wonders" show was so powerful. It displayed righteousness in both form and
content and exposed the unrighteousness of all lives. Those unrighteous factors
include our shortcomings in long-term cultivation as Dafa practitioners. I
believe that all who watched the show would realize their own shortcomings, to
greater or lesser degrees. Not only were the world's people saved, but Dafa
practitioners were also cleansed. I deeply understand that Master gives all
lives the best. We are saving all beings and we are also lives saved by Dafa. How we looked upon NTDTV's show and what we did for the show, including
watching, helping, criticizing, only stopping at the surface of doing specific
things or completely immersing ourselves in and unconditionally harmonizing what
the show needed, was a measure of our "xinxing" and our
positions. Posting date: 1/5/2007
