By a practitioner from Hubei Province

(Clearwisdom.net) I am a Falun Dafa practitioner who fortunately began Dafa study in 1997. Prior to cultivation I had suffered from poor health and had spent over 10,000 yuan per year to treat my illnesses. Once I started the practice I firmly believed in Master and Dafa. I was strict with myself in following the principles that I realized from Dafa at different levels, and cultivated myself diligently. I became completely healthy and with Dafa's guidance continually raised my xinxing.

In 1999 the evildoers launched the persecution of Dafa. On July 20, 1999, more than twenty practitioners from our hometown rented a bus, and traveled to the provincial government to appeal. But the police stopped our bus halfway and found several copies of Zhuan Falun in the possession of fellow practitioners. We were detained, but several practitioners and I managed to escape. I walked from 2:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. and arrived at the front gate of the provincial government. This was my very first time going to the provincial government to appeal.

In October 1999 and June 2000 I went to Beijing to appeal and was illegally detained. I felt that it was completely unfair for a practitioner to be detained and thought it wasn't right, "The evil is damaging Dafa, poisoning the minds of sentient beings, and thus Dafa practitioners are put in prison to suffer the persecution. This is not where we should be. I need to go home! I need to clarify the truth to sentient beings, to validate Dafa, to expose these evil deeds!"

Realizing this, I was soon released after being in detention for over a month. I re-joined the Fa validating activities.

A Sixty-year-old Lady Produces Truth Clarification Materials

In order to validate the Fa, initially I used chalk and yellow clay to write, "Falun Dafa is good" on walls. I tried to contact everyone I could think of, to see where I could get the truth clarifying materials to help people understand the facts.

Master said,

"So in clarifying the truth, don't wait, don't rely on others, and don't just hope for changes in external factors. ("To All Students at the Nordic Fa Conference" from Essentials for Further Advancement II)

Therefore I went home to buy the paint in quantities of three to five boxes at a time, and I went out with fellow practitioners to paint the characters on walls. Later I saw a suggestion in "Minghui Weekly" to set up Dafa materials production sites wherever we could. I bought a printer to make the materials by myself. Because the printer was slow, I added another copying machine.

When I began this task the weather was very hot. I am not formally educated and am an over 60-year-old woman. I was also unfamiliar with the machine, which always had problems. In the process of trying to service the machine, fill the cartridge with ink powder and shake the cartridge and trying to fix the machine, I got black ink all over my entire body.

I overcame all the barriers and interferences. Sometimes I ate only once a day. With Master's support I finally made a large quantity of truth-clarifying materials. I took the lead to distribute them and encouraged fellow practitioners in our town. They are now all doing truth clarification work and cultivating diligently. I also brought the materials I made to other practice sites, and encouraged fellow practitioners at the other sites

I used the early morning hours in a farmer's market to clarify the truth when I came across people. I told them to remember, "Falun Dafa is good." After Master's article "Hurry Up And Tell Them" was published, every one of our local practitioners came out to clarify the truth. The more talkative practitioners led those who did not have the gift of easy speech; thus we were a team. Sometimes seven or eight teams went out every day. Whenever a practitioner was persecuted, all of us sent forth righteous thoughts together, disseminating the truth clarifying materials and exposing the evil to the entire village and town in one night. Some of us asked the authorities to release the arrested practitioners, found those who were responsible for the arrests, clarified the truth to them, and mailed them letters.

People have since shown a more correct attitude toward Dafa. When their superiors asked them to run a brainwashing center, local officials wisely turned it down.

The environment here is now good. We can do group Fa study and the exercises in public. Sometimes the town leadership and the local police station agents smile and say hello when they see me. They also tell me, "Falun Dafa is good! I have already remembered."

Spreading copies of the "Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party" and urging people to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations is the key to rescuing sentient beings.

I have been working hard to put my every thought from my heart and mind on the Fa. I run instead of walk down the street. I treasure every minute, every second. Whenever I run across someone I tell him or her about the truth. Even when I eat out somewhere I tell people the true facts about the persecution. I have visited every relative, even those I hadn't contacted for many years. Each one has now quit the CCP. Previously I didn't like to attend parties or celebrations, but now I make it a point to attend. After clarifying the truth and telling people to quit the CCP I can feel that all sentient beings are really waiting for us to clarify the truth. Their clear side hopes to be offered salvation. I took a walk down the street and was able to persuade more than twenty individuals to quit the evil CCP and its affiliated organizations!

I also haven't overlooked individual cultivation. For these ten years, besides exceptional circumstances, I have never missed doing the exercises every day. I send forth righteous thoughts ten times a day. In order to get more time for Fa study I sleep an average of four hours a night.

All of this is possible due to Master's compassion and the virtue of Dafa! Never since its beginning has our town's Fa study group been interrupted! Now, every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday afternoon we have group Fa study and send forth righteous thoughts twice. This is of great help in keeping fellow practitioners diligent. It has cleaned up internal and external bad elements, enabling all our practitioners to do quite well.

I knew I was far from meeting the requirements of Dafa. Compared to many other practitioners I was limited. In addition, I didn't have an opportunity to go to school and was worried about my poor writing skills. I hesitated for a very long time. But when I saw "Minghui Weekly" encouraging everyone to submit an article, I realized that this would also be a need during the Fa-rectification. It is such a rare opportunity. I must eliminate my attachments and share my practice experiences during these past years with everyone. I told my story to another practitioner who wrote it on my behalf.
