Persecution Details of Practitioner Ms. Sun Yanchun from Laishan District, Yantai City, Shandong Province

(Clearwisdom.net) According to incomplete information, there are at least seven Falun Gong practitioners from Laishan District, Yantai City, Shandong Province who have been illegally sentenced. They are imprisoned in Shandong Province Women's Prison and Weibei Prison. At least twenty-five were put in forced labor camps and are imprisoned in Shandong Second Women's Forced Labor Camp (at Wang Village, Zibo City) and Shandong Second Men's Forced Labor Camp (at Zhangqiu, Jinan). They are being subjected to severe persecution. The following is the experience of practitioner Ms. Sun Yanchun.

Ms. Sun, 52, was a resident of Qianqikuang, Laishan District. A long time ago, because her son was killed in an accident, she was in grief and fell ill. In 1997, she began practicing Falun Gong. After one month, her many long-term diseases vanished and she returned to work.

At work, Ms. Sun strictly required herself to follow the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance. Before she practiced Falun Dafa, she often took small things home from work. After practicing, several cultivators in her company no longer took anything from the company. Not only did they not take anything, but they also returned what they previously took from the company. Because they practiced Falun Dafa, they were conscientious at work and worked tirelessly. Their healthy bodies and work ethic made younger people look inferior.

In 1998, Ms. Sun smoothly gave birth to her son. She sighed, "Had it not been for Dafa, I would not have wanted to live, but now I even have a new son." She named her son "Tianci" (Heavenly gift). Later, she changed his name to "Hongfa" (Promoting Fa). Her company's colleagues all witnessed a huge change in her after she started cultivating Dafa.

In July1999, when the evil party began persecuting Dafa in China, Ms. Sun and fellow practitioners went to Beijing to appeal for justice for Dafa. They were mercilessly beaten by the police from the local police station. The residential district office illegally imprisoned them and forced them to write a guarantee statement promising to cease their practice, and extorted their family members of large amounts of money. The residential district office threatened the village committee secretary into deducting an entire year's salary, and instigated the village committee to imprison several of these Falun Gong practitioners for persecution. They threatened to fine the employers and coerce them into dismissing Falun Gong employees. The secretary said, "Even though you can take away my official position, I cannot treat my fellow villagers like that." The company manager said, "They are my best workers. Why would I dismiss them?"

Because Ms. Sun persisted in her belief, she was arrested and detained three times. Beginning in 2001, Ms. Sun underwent brainwashing through forced labor for two years. Her three-year-old son had to be looked after by his 80-year-old grandparents.

After she was released, Ms. Sun continued to tell her fellow villagers the glory of Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance, and that all persecution excuses were evil lies. The Chinese Communist Party police in Laishan were afraid of the truth and obstructed the will of people from returning to good. In 2005, the police arrested Ms. Sun again and sentenced her to five years.

Ms. Sun's son experienced his mother being persecuted time after time, and anyone who saw him was saddened.
