Ms. Wan Xiuying Currently Detained at Hailar Detention Center in Inner Mongolia

(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Wan Xiuying is a Dafa practitioner from Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia. On December 8, 2006, she went missing on the train from Tongliao to Hailar, and family members were very anxious and looked for her everywhere. On December 14, Shao Jun, who works at the National Security Division of the Kerqin Police Station in Tongliao City, said that Ms. Wan was illegally detained in the Hailar City Railroad Police Station. Ms. Wan was later detained in Hailar Detention Center. Her current situation is unclear.

It was said that the CCP's followers found Dafa books in Ms. Wan’s handbag, along with information materials about Dafa and some CDs. The relatives asked Shao Jun to take Ms. Wan back to Tongliao City but he refused.

Ms. Wan is 59 years old and has benefited greatly, both mentally and physically, since she started practicing in 1998. Because of her determination to practice Falun Gong, she has been constantly subjected to persecution since July 20, 1999.

During the past several years, Ms. Wan has been:
    - detained three times at Hexi Detention Center in Tongliao City, totaling 72 days,
    - forcibly sent to a brainwashing center for 22 days, and
    - arrested once outside her front door and detained for a day.

In addition:
    - the police broke into her home once to arrest her,
    - her home was ransacked five times,
    - her home phone was bugged, and she was followed,
    - during the holidays, the police and local officials often came and harassed her.

In addition, the police and local officials often go to the workplaces of her relatives to harass and interrogate them, including her son, daughter-in-law, and the daughter-in-law’s father. Ms. Wan’s daughter Wang Ying is a teacher in Tongliao Experimental Elementary School, and she was illegally detained several times and sent to labor camp for three years for publicizing "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance" and "Falun Dafa is good." At the Hexi Prison in Tongliao City and the Tumuji Labor Camp, Ms. Wang Ying was brutally persecuted. Her limbs were shackled, she was handcuffed and hung up in the death bed, beaten with a club, electrically shocked with two high-voltage batons, and beaten by several people in turns. In the end, Ms. Wang Ying was crippled from the torture. A cranial CT and examination revealed lesions, myocarditis, hearing loss, and other problems. Finally, Ms. Wang’s daughter Wang Ying was in a life-threatening situation, and was sent home from Tumuji Labor Camp in January 2002.

At 3:00 a.m. on April 29, 2004, Ms. Wan was arrested when she was distributing truth-clarification materials. Ms. Wan went on a hunger strike for twelve days to protest the unreasonable persecution. It was not until Ms. Wan was in a life-threatening situation did the police contact her son Wang Zhe to take her home.

Seeing his mother persecuted so severely, Wang Zhe sternly told the police, "You people also have parents. You only send her back after she was tortured to this extent. Do you still have a conscience?" He carried Ms. Wan upstairs and then went downstairs to reason with them. By then, the police had already left.

On December 8, 2006, Ms. Wan was missing on the train between Tongliao Station and Hailar Station. Her family members looked for her everywhere. On December 14, according to policeman Shao Jun, Ms. Wan was illegally detained at Hailar Railroad Station. She was later transferred to Hailar Detention Center.

We hereby call on the Hailar Dafa practitioners to please help rescue Dafa practitioner Wan Xiuying. We also hope that overseas practitioners can call the numbers below to help rescue Ms. Wan.
